Darth InSidious
So, aside from Star Wars, what do people around here like? Myself, I like most stuff, except the old series of BSG, which was, IMHO whacked....also, some of the obscure british failures like Blake's 7 and the Tomorrow People which were plain crap... Palpatine_dc
The first things that pop up in my mind, apart from Star Wars that I like to watch/reed/play: Pitch Black - Chronicles of Riddick Alien(s) The Matrix (only the first movie, the second was ok, but Revolutions was utter c***) Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy (I only saw the movie, but I heard some people who like series/books say they don't like it) Starship Troopers (the book, the movie is awfull) Dune (only the frst 2 books, the rest was not as good imo) The Deathsword books by Weiss and Hickman (starts out as fantasy, but ends in a mix of both fantasy and SF) Lanfeust des Etoiles (comic book only released in France/Belgium afaik) Dallas Bar (comic) Star Craft Fallout series There is more, but I can't remember any right now... REDJOHNNYMIKE
The Treks, the Gates, Old BSG, new one passable, but not nearly as good, Everything Ossus and CH mentioned, I did like X-f, farscape and V, but never got into dark angel, probably would have if she'd looked as sweet back then, Everything in the first part of PDC's post, Starship troopers was interesting, I think they tried to portray them as near nazi which was weird, did anybody waste their rental money on the sequel;) I also liked wing commander, but never played the games, WHAT, NO LOVE FOR ROD SERLING HERE??? you all must be trapped:D All those low budget shows, usually UPN and WB, that never lasted more than a season, and were better than most network crap, ones I remember most, Freedom, Level nine, some MIB ripoff, John Doe, and anything resembling those, Lost is AWESOME, Jurassic park, Sliders, Halo, Half Life, Freelancer, Far Cry, way to many games to mention, We could go on listing stuff for days

starmark2k
*shifty eyes* New or old? Well personally i prefered the oldder versions but i didn't mind the new one but the second world war one was really weird "are you my mommy", and the fused gas masks... Freaky. Also somthing else thats great and british, Red dwarf (except series 8, that was too americanised).

vanir
Equilibrium (Christian Bale's best) Imposter (Gary Sinise) Alien Quadrology The Thing Solaris Minority Report The Terminator Trilogy Star Trek movie series Star Wars Prequels/Trilogy The Final Countdown (USS Nimitz goes back in time to WW2) 12 Monkeys Back to the Future Triology Westworld Dracula 3000 Saturn (Charlton Heston I think) Original Planet of the Apes movie series Wayland (Sean Connery) Resident Evil & RE: Apocalypse Jurassic Park series Aeon Flux I'm unconvinced as to whether it'll be good, I personally think it's a blatant Hollywood classic formula of cashing in on pending real movie thunder with a doll face and a two week script, in this case taking a stab at Kate Beckinsale's Selene character due back the month following the release of this movie with Underworld 2: Evolution. Though don't get me wrong, Charlize Theron is a definite babe, but I love Underworld and it's a little like Battlestar Galactica hitting the theatres the same week as Star Wars back in '77-78.
