Astrotoy7 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Richard Pryor was a groundbreaking comedian that came to prominence in the 70s. Alot of popular comedians today often quote him as an inspiration and trailblazer, particularly black comedians. He has been battling with multiple sclerosis for the last 20 years, and on Sat Dec 10, he passed away aged only 65. May he RIP with condolences to his family, friends and fans worldwide. he was one hell of a funny guy (albeit with a foul mouth !) anyone that hasnt heard his work should try track it down, especially if you are a fan of people like Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock & Dave Chapelle. I can just picture him at the pearly gates calling St Peter a crazy cracker mtfbwya
Bob Lion54 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Very sad news. RIP. Thanks for the laughs.
The Doctor Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 This world is just getting worse and worse.
Vladimir-Vlada Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 So much dieing... I don't know this person either, but he needs to be remorsed as well. *Takes off his hat and places it on his left shoulder...* May he rest in peace. *Looks around and sees other graves as well...* May they all be remembered, remorsed and appreciated for their acts of goodness, for their decorations to our childhoods and ofr their care for other people, besides themselves.
Captain_H Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 RIP, we sure are losing alot of famous people these past few years.
deathdisco Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Wow, that makes me really sad. Farewell and R.I.P.
Hannibal Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I was a big fan. I thought his movie sucked but his stand up was great. What I didn't know was that for a while he was the highest paid actor in Hollywood. It makes sense though because for a couple of years it seemed every movie that came out starred him. Sort of like Jude Law and Sam Jackson.
RedHawke Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I loved his stand up performances. My favorite movie with Richard Pryor in it was Silver Streak, it is really dated now, but still funny! RIP...
