Voices?

I am not sure if this has been asked or is in this forum, but i didn't see or hear about it so don't yell at me. My question is did the developers who made Eaw, use the real cast from the movies to do the voices?

I don't think so. Or at least I know they did not use James Earl Jones for Vader.

Dunno, judging from the vast majority of the games it's pretty doubtful though. Occasionally they use sound clips from the movies, but normally they just hire voice actors.

Nothing has been confirmed and I don't think any voice actor will actually be from the movies.

I'm not unhappy, as long as they do a good job.

...and Kyle's voice is not the original from Jedi Knight, so, they might not put real actors in for voice recordings; if they do hire some, then these will be key-characters, just to raise the excitement.

Is Kyle's voice even the same one for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy? I haven't played either in a while so my memory is a bit weak on whether it is or not.

it would cost to much to to get the Original voices so they get the sound alikes in but it's just never the same.

There are the actors that play the characters in the movies and then there are voice actors that play the characters in the games, radio plays etc.

 

Example, Nick Jameson always does the Palpatine's voice (and he is really good at it too).

 

There have been a few instances of the original actors doing voiceovers in games but its rare.

 

Off the top of my head, I can think of:

 

Lando in Jedi Outcast

Wedge in Rogue Squadron 2

Jango in Bounty Hunter, he also seems to enjoy doing clone trooper voices in other games.

ok then but it would cost a lot to get the voice of Carrie Fisher and Hayden Christensen or even harrison Ford as those are large actors and would charge and want alot to do that. (IE marketing

yeah true and what sounded close to leias voice can be heard on the opening of the official site although as was pointed out it could be mon mothma.

They had a sound clip of Obi-Wan (Sir Alec Guinness) from the movies, but that might have just been for the vid. So, they may use a few sound clips.

 

Other than that, I didn't hear any other actors from the movies.

 

As for voice actors, I hope they get Cam Clarke in the game. I say that about every game, though. He rocks.

You'll reconize his voice. Especially if you're a Ninja Turtles fan. (Original cartoon) He does alot of video games.

Its because he tries to distance himself from Star Wars. Obviously, he knows most people know him as Luke Skywalker, but he hopes to be known for other things too.

 

If you look him up on IMBD, he hasn't done anything Star Wars related since ROJ. I think he goes to conventions, but I'm not sure.
