Maphisto86
Like many before me I am having trouble fighting the death match with that pesky Mandalorian, Bendak Starkiller. How any of you do it? He is uber hard to beat. I have tried six times already... I NEED ASSISTANCE! GAAAH! DISCLAMER: I am not a monkey or other type of ape. My head did not explode or implode it is still intact. No sapiens where hurt or eaten during the posting of this thread. Thank you!
ChAiNz.2da
What level is your PC? If it's low (such as "saving" levels) then don't do melee... you'll get pwned everytime... In the Black Vulkar base you'll "stumble" upon some plasma grenades.. if you can save them.. use those to waste Bendak.. 4-5 of them will kill him no problem
Achilles
Bendak will throw grenades at you for the first three combat rounds. Best bet is to: 1) Run 2) Throw a plasma grenade 3) Repeat steps 1 & 2 until Bendak is dead or plasma grenades are depleated. 4) Charge at him with your most powerful melee weapon. As always, stim and shield up before speaking to the Hutt and skip through the dialog as quickly as possible so that they are still in effect when the fight starts. I hope that helps. Maphisto86
It does thank to both of you! Any more suggestions are welcome...
Darth333
I start by stunning him with a concussion grenade and then I use the plasma ones.
RedHawke
I start by stunning him with a concussion grenade and then I use the plasma ones. Same here, tried and true method too! I love playing through Taris! Though I do stim up before talking to the Hutt like Achilles said.
ChAiNz.2da
Another trick rather than stimming before the Hutt is too immediately access your inventory when the Bendak fight starts (it auto-pauses the game). From your inventory, activate all of your shields and stims you want to use. When you go back to the game screen, everything will be in effect. You have to be quick though. If the game registers you "in a fight" you'll only be able to activate one, maybe 2 things max. I'd suggest a shield of some sort as your first thing just in case. Though if you want definite results, Achilles' method is by far the best tactic I've ever used fighting Bendak Watch out though... 9 out of 10 times Bendak is able to lob off his first grenade before you access the inventory. As soon as you return to the game screen... run like a bat out of Dodge! (preferably to the opposite side of the arena you were at... NOT towards Bendak)
Darth333
But try the concussion grenade trick: if he is stunned, he can't throw grenades at you Just be quick to throw it before he throws his. After a few plasma grenades, I throw another concussion grenade before he comes back to normal and then I go back to the damaging grenades. Cygnus Q'ol
What are you wearing? In one of the abandoned undercity apartments there is a locked container that is password coded. In order to open, you have to solve a problem that is logged on a computer in that apartment. Read and solve. The container holds something that may help you. Make sure you upgrade it though. The upgrades are found in other lowercity apartments and under city containers. How are your combat feats? When using melee, strength is most important. I use critical hits once I get close to him. Never stand still. Once you damage him some, he'll stop for a sec to health boost. Now's your time. If you can get behind him for a critical or power strike do it, then move again. I've never really had success throwing grenades in such a small arena. I usually run, dodge, then attack, then move. What weapons do you use? There aren't powerful enough blasters at this point in the game to do much damage (at least I never found any). At this point in the game, I'm already thinking ahead to possible lightsaber skills so melee combat feats are important to have. I'm also a dual or staff person. Check out Kebla's emporium. If you are a double melee person, there might be something there to use on Bendak. Like Achilles said, stim up and activate shields before talking to the Hutt. Run at him as soon as you can. Thaeos
I've always just fought him in melee and used a couple med-packs when needed.

Rain128
As a Smuggler Concussion gernades are your friends... keep him stuned and run in and flurry (or your attack of choice) with crit attacks he falls quickly.... best bet to Que up 2 attacks after the gernade stuns him and run out cause it will ware off soon after... and you dont want hom chasing you around with his blade... cand hit him with gernades that way
Jae Onasi
I stim/shield before the fight, make sure I have an adequate number of medpaks, use decent armor and run while using the concussion and plasma grenades (and whatever other grenades that will do damage). I save him for near the end of my time on Taris (or at least after finishing the swoop accelerator quest) so that I have either a decent level, or decent equipment/grenades (if saving levels for Dantooine), or both. You don't _have_ to fight him, though, unless you really need the credits/DS points/feel compelled to complete just about every quest you receive. Cygnus Q'ol
Patience can be a weapon too. Pehaps you can put off the duel until you've experienced the rest of Taris and the quests that you find. Level up as high as you can, aquiring the required feats, and skills to become powerful. Then come back and slay him.
RC-1162
^^^ exactly. when your talking to Canderous, say that you have somethings to take care of and come back. try to do all the quests and deeds you can to get as many XP points as you can and level up. take the armor capabilities and flurry first in feats. what i do is use the money i earned while duelling and what i found in the apartments to buy the Sith Sniper Rifle and some concussion grenades. my style : Concussion gren Plasma gren Concussion gren Sniper shots Concussion gren Frag gren Sniper shots Concussion gren VibroSword and you get a nicely sliced up Mandalorian in front of you
Point Man
Level up as high as you can, aquiring the required feats, and skills to become powerful. Then come back and slay him. But if you level up as high as possible on Taris, you are sacrificing level-ups once you become a Jedi. I prefer to stop at level 4 in my initial class. I have never been able to get past Marl at level 3, but at level 4 I can defeat everyone on Taris.

TSR
if you are a scout use carth's blaster maxed out upgrade wise and an arkanian heavy pistol, and throw in a spot of running around for good measures. also greande him. also, only try to kill him after completing the swoopr ace. you'll have enough exp by then to make short work of him.
