REDJOHNNYMIKE
Does anyone know what's wrong with a pc when I'm typing here or in a text document and it randomly acts as if I'm pressing "enter" and random numbers (usually 1,2, and 3)? This has happened on both this laptop, the one I was using up until recently, and a while ago on my pc. It's really annoying to have to constantly edit out numbers, and when I try to delete one number from a word it usually gets faster, adding more numbers and new lines, snowballing from there. ChAiNz.2da
u h4\/3 4n l337 k3y804rd ick.. seriously dude, I had this happen one time and it turned out that I had a tendency to let my right elbow rest a little too close to the numpad.. my elbow was hitting keys sometimes If you look at your numpad, there's also an "enter" key on it Move any objects (including your elbows) away from that area of your keyboard.. However, for your laptop (which doesn't have a numpad) make sure that you're not resting your hands over the keyboard or any other "foreign" object near your numbers row (be it top or right aligned)
Astrotoy7
yeah, i'd have a look at keyboard configurations, and set it to default, removing any sticky key settings you may have inadvertantly set... mtfbwya

REDJOHNNYMIKE
Well, on the old machines I held Shift too long a couple times, but didn't press anything and disabled the sticky keys option when it popped up. It also happened when I didn't hold shift too long (but no error message. The difference though is that I've never got a sticky keys dialog on this machine and it still happens. I also keep my hands away from the keyboard as much as possible. ([ot]I know it's my fault, but do any other touchpad users always click the adds when moving from forum to scroll bar? [/ot]) My money's on Individual 3;)
