I hate PSM. they said they didn't know what the price was for the PS3, but it was expected to be $399 >_>

And, the Wii is going to be less then $250. there has been no official annoucement. it might be $199.99.

I guess I'm the minority once again.

I definately will be getting a next-gen system, probably 360.

I've played it a few times and it's quite fun. However, I will wait a bit to see what Sony has in store first and also see if Microsoft adds a few more titles to the list, then I'll decide.

Both my Box and PS2 stay warm. My pc tower is the dust collector.

...of course, I have a lot of muli-player going on at my house.

Next thing I'll get is a new pc, but I still use my current pc, xboxI, and 360 all the time.

Sure, you'll always be able to tune a pc to higher specs than pretty much anything (if you're rich) but the plus side of using a console is that the game developers make their stuff fit yours, not vice versa, so it saves a little hassle. Plus you don't have some stupid work application wipeout your system and put you into gamer withdrawel.

Gotta stay well rounded;)

actually, if you know what your doing, you can make some older PC technology work just as good or better than the new stuff. my old Athlon 3200XP is still chugging along just fine, and it still outperforms some of the newer Athlon64's. and that's before i overclock this puppy. then, it really starts to perform at a point that it can hang with some of the latest chips to hit the market. well, in some areas, anyway. my DDR-333 memory, a 400Mhz FSB, and an nForce 2 northbridge/southbridge keep it from performing as well as the Athlon 3800's and higher.

i've tried overclocking the FSB, but it really affects system stability for some reason. overclocking the memory, however, does tend to help things out a bit more, although not by much.

anyways, it just goes to prove that if you do some tweaking here and there, you can get your computer to run quite well for the forseeable future. and you don't have to spend a dime. ;)

Hi spec'd PCs are awesome, but they are not conducive to social gaming. Lan parties are, how else can I say it.........dorky. (Ive been to many!)

Theres nothing better than multitapping NHL or FIFA or Pro Ev Soccer 5 (or any similar type game) and beating the bejesus out of a bunch of mates whilst consuming much beer and pizza. No cables, No carrying your pc, no wankers("bow j00 l4m3r !!") :)

Just as soon save the cash for a new video card and RAM upgrades.

PC here all the way, at least until I can browse my email, play games, use word processors, annoy people in gaming forums, create my own South Park avatar and flip through unspeakably obscene pornography all at once on an Xbox.
