edlib
Here's one thing I don't get about the movie, they show Mystique naked as a mutant but when she's a non-mutant human you get nothing. What kind of deal is that? (now I'll probably get bitch slapped by all of the women in who come to the forums.) Gotta stay family-friendly, y'know... for th' kids! Show them 2 or so hours of pretty much non-stop violence: no prob! But God forbid they ever get so much as a glimpse at a nipple!!! [/end editorializing] Besides... you could always just Google Image Search "Rebecca Romijn" (with or without the "Stamos") if you really want to see more. It's not like she's never appeared topless. After reading all the reviews, as well as the comments here, I've pretty much decided to wait for DVD for this one... or maybe even basic cable. I finally saw X2 for the first time the other night on cable. I was never a big X-Men (or even a comic-book) fan... but I liked the first movie. Too bad they chose to dumb it down for this one. Thank you budday. Anyone Else think scott was a little too bitchy? Anyways, Pheonix looked like those sirens from god of war mixed with some aliens, Whats up with the male marrow too? swphreak
I thought it was pretty kick ass, but then again, blow up anything for an hour and half and I'll be entertained. The ending did suggest another movie, and I can see it done. They never did show the Sentinels, so there you go, movie four, but what will they do for characters in X4? No Scott or Jean, and Mystique, Rogue, and Magneto are powerless... or are they? Dun dun dunnnn And Iceman is a child molester.
TiE23
It was pretty funny how at the begining they just took Scott out, but made sure he was hateable at first. Also what Seph said, I'm pretty sure everyone in the audience thought that the Jerry Curl girl was a man. Random thing: Right before Wolverine and Jean were about to trade bodily fluids in the base, some 6 yearold sounding kid when the entire movie theater was quiet said, "Oh-no!" Entire place laughed and clapped for him.
DarthAve
I just got back from it. Overall, I liked it. here are my views. 1. I loved the fact that they killed Scott. He was an ass anyway. 2. I feel so bad for Kitty. Her and Bobby made such a cute couple. Rogue is a jealous bitch, and ugly. She's all 'Oh, my boyfriend is hanging out with another girl. Let me go in this corner and be all pouty and emo while I watch the two.' 3. I wish Mysteque had met Magneto at the end of the movie during the chess thing. She would be all 'Hello Eric' and he would have been all 'Oh.......my.......god.' HA! 4. Iceman and Pyro are both very foxy. Wolverine's mutton chops still do nothing for me. 5. All those creepy tattoo people were scary. 6. "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" is now the best movie line ever. 7. I feel so bad for Angel. His life is so ironic. 8. That beginning scene where we saw young Jean was pretty cool. I mean PROFESSER X COULD FREGGIN' WALK ONCE!! 9. Kelsey Grammer can kick some ass. I'll never doubt Dr. Fraiser Crane again. 10. That trailer for The Omen before the movie started. That Damian kid=Issac from Children of the Corn. He even wants to kill his mom(Outlander!) and has followers. Boy, what a rant. Lightsaberboy
....so did they add that Juggernaut line in before or after that stupid Juggernaut vid those guys made went online? I thought the movie was a good action movie, but as part of the X-men series, it felt a bit of a let down, prolly due to the director changes. It seemed like they tried to cram too many characters in the movie. I thought the score was good, but liked John Ottman's and Michael Kamen's from the first 2 movies more. and did anyone else love Ellen Page as Shadowcat? I thought she was really cute AND hot at the same time.
Mike Windu
and did anyone else love Ellen Page as Shadowcat? I thought she was really cute AND hot at the same time. Seconded. Anne Paquin pales in comparison. But she's still pretty. How long's that Juggernaut thing been out? I've only heard of it recently... but it's goofy as hell, and I bet the makers are really proud of themselves... kudos to the director for homaging it. Lightsaberboy
Money changes everything. Fox confirms X-men 4 I can imagine it now. the next movie will be : "X4: Gambit's Finally In It. Happy Now??" and it'll finally have gambit in it! I hope Bryan takes the project back for it, but most likely not since he'll be busy with the Superman sequel that will undoubtedly be made after the success of Superman Returns. How long's that Juggernaut thing been out? I've only heard of it recently... but it's goofy as hell, and I bet the makers are really proud of themselves... kudos to the director for homaging it. Well I saw it a couple months back, prolly around January i think. I dunno if they made that after seeing a clip somewhere from the actual movie, or Brett put it in after the video was made, but it's hilarious either way. Arclight reminded me of Michael Jackson for some reason. I got that creepy vibe from her. and could someone explain Who is Moira?
Mike Windu
She's a doctor. Used to be Charles' fiancee And the Juggernaut thing was just kids making a thing; Ratner decided to put it in after as a sort of homage.

DarthAve
and did anyone else love Ellen Page as Shadowcat? I thought she was really cute AND hot at the same time. I sure did(even though I'm a girl). Like I said, I'm pro Iceman/Shadowcat. I'd enjoy the movie a lot more if they actually hooked up. P.S. Did anyone catch that extra clip after the credits? We didn't stay long enough to catch it and I heard it was really cool.
Lightsaberboy
It was alright. It's just that dying guy in the hospital that Prof X was talking about earlier, and the nurse kinda tends to him, and then we hear Xavier's voice come out of him and he says, "Moira..." and she goes "...Charles" and that's it. so he basically transferred his mind into that dude. I thought Quill had the worst power ever. He's basically a porquipine man. I thought it was funny how he confronts Pyro and Pyro lights up a flame and says, "Do you know who you're talking to?" and Quill spikes up his face and says, "Do you?" like he's so much more of a badass than Magento and them. Pyro should've lit his butt on fire and watched him roll around on the floor screaming, trying to put the flames out. No offense to Quill lovers. I just thought he wasnt that great. ET Warrior
I thought Quill was lame, Angel was lame, the Juggernaut was lame, EVERY mutant they introduced in this movie was lame. And not because they're lame mutants, more because they had no point, and basically every line they had to utter was awful. This of course leads into my overall review of X3. It wasn't good. I wouldn't go so far as to call it BAD, but it certainly didn't come anywhere NEAR being as good as the first 2. The biggest problem was the writing. Or, perhaps, the lack thereof. My guess is they spent all their budget on the SFX (which weren't even that special) and then just told a couple of interns that they were in charge of the script. All of the mutants they introduced were there because they wanted to appeal to the fans, I suppose. But why introduce mutants to serve no point? Angel did nothing, Quill said a couple stupid things and then proved how badass he was by killing a defenseless human who wasn't fighting back, and Juggernaut came in, said one of the dumbest lines of the movie, and ran into a wall and knocked himself out. The Iceman/Pyro fight had potential to be really cool, but all they did was shoot their powers at each other for a couple seconds, and then Iceman throws a headbutt and wins. And of course he also gets to say a ridiculously lame line when he does it. And as much of a bitch as Cyclops was in the last two movies, he was a central character, to have him deliver another of the movies laughably bad lines and then die right at the beginning does no justice to the series. I would not be unhappy if I never saw that movie again, which is a HUGE letdown, as I LOVE the first two.
Mike Windu
Quill has the ability to shoot them too, similar to that bone guy or whoever who fought Logan..he just never got a chance to shoot them.. Same goes for Psylocke... Arclight wasn't really anything special.. Who was that guy who shot lava/ash out of his mouth?

Master_Ginn
So was anyone else confused as to whether cyclops was actually dead or not during the first half of the movie? I mean Wolverine found his sun glasses, and they never really said he was dead until way later. But the more I think about this movie, the more it bugs me. I surely hope if there is a 4th one, that the db who directed this one can't get his hands on it.
RoxStar
Did anyone else have that Halle Berry rant about how if Storm didn't get more developed, then she would basically walk off in their head? I did. That made me see through all of the Storm "rebirth" things. She has successfully: 1. Become headmistress of the school 2. Gained the trust of many mutants and humans 3. Promise Fox at least 100 million more dollars for another xmen movie 4. Given Halle Berry power <- Bad thing. Oh and Nothing was accomplished. Magneto still has power, Charles is back. Jean is dead. MrWally
And did all those people who were "killed" by phoenix... did they really die? It's not very clear. A simple way that an X-men 4 could bring back all the characters is by obviously saying charles transfered over his subconscience, magneto, mistique, and rogue didn't actually lose their powers apparantly (since magneto could move that chess piece), and all those people that Phoenix "killed" weren't actually killed by Jean, because she can do "anything".. maybe she just temporarily "removed" them, or transported them somewhere else? And, as for Shean, she IS phoenix, remember, she can most likely come back. Again. And also, Jean and Scott have a sun in the comics... I just can't believe that the director would completely kill off two HUGE characters. haha and is it just me, or was this the first X-Men movie where they actually said the term "X-Men"? DarthAve
I say every dead character will come back. Because that's what comic book people do. They bring back dead people in odd ways. P.S. I watch X-Men and X2 today, and I noticed some similaterities between the first one and the third one. 1. both end in some way involving chess. 2. Rogue is super freggin pouty about how she doesn't belong. 3. Storm get's her ass kicked by someone, but wins in the end. 4. Cyclops says somthing super bitchy to Wolverine. That's pretty much all I found. There may be more, I don't know.
MysticSpade
hey all, well IMO the movies was a good movie and all but only if you look at it not as a X-Men movie. I liked the movie as a movie but as a fanboy of the x-men franchise, i am disappointed.
Zappa_0
I really liked it after really looking at it afterwards. I didnt get to see the extra scene due to the retards at my cinema. They cut the credits and turned the lights on, plus no AC! Anyways it was cool and spoiler time: Theres been rumors of different extra scenes after the credits: 1. Professor X version 2. Dark Pheonix returns 3.Cyclops at the hospital with brain damage rambling about the dark phoenix. 4. Magneto/Mystique scene 2 to 4 has all been rumors. Also from all the specials where the actors talk about x3 and they are asked about x4. You can tell they know theres gonna be a sequal after x3 with that little smerk on their faces. Yea I dont believe its the end for scott and jean. I expect to see them in x4. And maybe we will get gambit finally. Anyways thats it.
