From a short article in PC gamer

Having just inked a deal with Touchstone Television, Ubisoft Montreal has signed on to develop a game based on the hit television show LOST. Scheduled to be released sometime next year, the game will explore aspects of the series not covered on the TV show, and will incorporate current cast members as well as new characters[/Quote]

Above the short article was this picture lost0la.jpg

How can this be? HOW can they even THINK of defiling such a great show as Lost?! This sickens me....

Idunno man, I have pretty solid faith in Ubisoft. You KNEW they'd make a game out of it, and if they were going to give it to anyone that's the best bet for it not being completely awful.

yeah, I agree on that behalf, I do trust ubisoft... but I can't possibly imagine LOST as a video game... It's WAY to cinematic...

And really... look at the picture... it's like tearing apart John Locke's character and ripping it to shreads.

...so where exactly do these new charcters come from?

Who knows? Maybe the tail section split in two and there are even MORE survivors? :p

I personally despise the show and I have a feeling I'd rather slice my arm open than play the game. But if anyone can make it suck at least on the same level as the show, it'll be Ubisoft.

Noooooooooooo!! Wait a second, I didn't watch lost. However, games based on TV shows have turned out alright (Simpsons hit and run, Simpson's road rage, ect.) so let's not worry.

NONONONONONONONONONONONONO

they can't do this. it WILL ruin it.

" feature aspects of the series not covered on the tv"

translation= "we'll make some b******t up and try and fit it in somewhere, that way it will confuse you AND make you stop watching the show"

evil commies...

$

'nuff said.

NOOOOO! ...Oh, wait a minute, I don't watch Lost.

My opinion: Let me just remind you that you can make good games based on movies and TV series, too (TIE Fighter, anyone).

No one is making you play the game. If you feel that it is going to ruin the show, then simply don't play the game and, for you, it will be like the game was never made.

EXACTLY. Don't like it? Don't play it. It's a very simple strategy.

Or to put it another way, how can they even think of defiling PC gaming with another TV show tie in.

Whats even worse is there's going to be a Desperate Housewives game : |

Cause we all know us gamers are the target audience of Desperate Housewives : |

I don't watch the show, but I agree with what's been said, Ubisoft does know how to make a game.
[silent Hunter III agrees].

Why?

More to the point, how? What the Heck's it going to be like, a The Sims clone?

So we get CSI the game, we get Lost the game and it looks like we are going to get Desperate housewives the game. Three shows which I'm sure most people would agree may make the worst TV show PC game tie ins since the Abomination that was Big Brother II the game. And yet one of the TV shows that would have made posably the best FPS ever had its game "put on hold" (read canceled, though last I heard there was a buyout possibility). I say put Lost, Desperate Housewives and any more CSI on hold and bring back Stargate: The Alliance.

Yeah... that's gonna be weird... and in a Lost video game... what do you do? Go around as Locke with a knife hunting Boars and a "monster" that might not even exist?
