St. Jimmy Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Actually, my favorite lem lime drink is.... *drum roll* Lemon Lime and bitters! Yay! niceness...
Smon Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 7-Up, dying over and over again is much easier to accept knowing I can take it.
Davinq Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 Actually, my favorite lem lime drink is.... *drum roll* Lemon Lime and bitters! Yay! niceness... Um, what is that? Are there any Kiwis out there, or someone who has had L&P before?
St. Jimmy Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Are you serious? ^^ It's a mixer drink that you get at pubs and bars and stuff. It's nice, try it some time.
ChAiNz.2da Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Lately I've been drinking some Royal Crown. Damn that's some kick @$$ stuff. Is that similar to Crown Royal? (j/k) Lemon-Lime Bitters is yummy, but in itself isn't quite the kicker that Crown is (the 'bitters' are more "aromatic" than anything...).. However, because "Charlies", a Yankee term for Lemon/Lime Bitter.. hehehe, taste so good.. it can be dangerous, depending if you use vodka or gin substitutes. You'll down several of them before you know it and then you wonder why you're staring at the ceiling when you try to get up from your seat http://www.angosturabitters.com/llb.htm Given the choice though.. I prefer Crown and Coke any day
Darkkender Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Given the choice though.. I prefer Crown and Coke any day A good ol boy such as yourself don't enjoy the classic Jack and Coke? Me I'm all for 151 & Coke, or at home Bacardi Limon & Mt. Dew. Doesn't matter the ratio because it tastes like dew.
ChAiNz.2da Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 A good ol boy such as yourself don't enjoy the classic Jack and Coke? I'm one of those "uppity" rednecks If I'm drinkin' Jack, it's straight-up.. * rebel yell * woooooooo... hehehe.. Well, to try to salvage as much topic I can, anyone remember (or can still find) Upper 10? I remember it well living in Michigan, but moving here to Tennessee.. I think I've seen it maybe once or twice... that was a good alternative for Lemon-Lime drinks. Just wish I could still find it
grrrrrrrrrr7 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Well I like all of them, but if I had to choose it would be Sprite
El Sitherino Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Lemon-limeade. Fruit juice > carbonated beverages.
Davinq Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 I'm deeply insulted by you all. Sierra Mist in 3rd!?
coupes. Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Lemon-limeade. Fruit juice > carbonated beverages. Exactly, 1 soda can each day translates in 15 extra pounds at the end of the year. Not to mention that the average soda contains 9 table spoons of sugar. o_O
Pho3nix Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Exactly, 1 soda can each day translates in 15 extra pounds at the end of the year. Not to mention that the average soda contains 9 table spoons of sugar. o_O uh oh. I drink like 2 cans of Coke everyday. Good thing my teeth are strong.
RedHawke Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Exactly, 1 soda can each day translates in 15 extra pounds at the end of the year. Not to mention that the average soda contains 9 table spoons of sugar. o_O Add to this if you abuse soda... meaning if you drink around 1 to 2 liters a day or more, some rather... uncomfortable... health problems can and will occur.
Davinq Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 Huh, I only get it at BBQs and restaraunts (sp?) lol.
Davinq Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 That's wonderful halo92, would you like to tell us why?
St. Jimmy Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 How much do you have to consume before you get completely plastered? Lately I've been drinking some Royal Crown. Damn that's some kick @$$ stuff. It's great 'cause you can drink heaps of the stuff before any side-effects occur. and yes, iz quite nize
Halo_92 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 For thouse coke lovers i have a Coola thread in the Sliced Tuan Tuan forums. And also a rootbeer thread. in the same place. EDIT: Cola Thread Root Beer thread In the Sliced Tuan Tuan.
Davinq Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 ^^^ Why not just advertise them with hyperlinks in your sig? It would save this thread from getting off the topic of Lemon-lime beverages. Back on topic... Wow, Royal Crown. Huh, I assume you're old enough to legally drink it, St. Jimmy? Heh, I'm not. Anyone every had L&P? Easily the best soda in the world IMHO.
Joshi Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Out of the choices there, and because I can;t be asked to think of any others, I'd have to go with Sprite.
Davinq Posted August 30, 2006 Author Posted August 30, 2006 7-Up would have to be my next favorite, but they hardly sell it where I live anymore.
