Greatest movie villain!

Amazing list Red Hawk. I agree with most of your villains except maybe Jade Fox...she's weak and not smart. And she kills the best character of the movie :( one more reason to hate her!

If you hate her then she has done her job... if you love or hate a villan then they qualify for this list. ;)

Andrew J Robinson - Scorpion Killer in Dirty Harry.

Forgot him... adding him now. :D(Of course he is my favorite Cardassian on DS9)

He was called Scorpio actually. ;)

@Val. I'm not sure that you could call Hal a villain. Computers only do what they're programmed to do. His problems were 'attributed to human error'.

@Pho3nix How can you call a T-rex a villain. He's just hungry. Humans, he found out, make great snacks.

I'm just kinda stunned that on a Lucas Forum, no one picked who's arguably the coolest villain in history, and that includes a long, long time ago.

Jabba the Hutt

I also like Thulsa Doom, Vader and of course Ming the Merciless. Agent Smith should at least be considered.

Would Yosimite Sam be considered a villain?

Ive never seen Dirty Harry to be honest, i just remember him saying he got so much hatemail for the part as people thought he was an ex-convict actor or something. DS9 is where i know him from. :smash:

My vote goes to Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies.

Seriously if I use RedHawke’s definition of Greatest Movie Villain I’ll have to go with Bruce Dern portrayal of Long Hair (Asa Watts) in the 1972 movie “The Cowboys.” What made him so terrible and hated is he killed an American icon (not to mention hurting his own career by playing the part so successfully).

New Category: Best Antiheroes.

Alexander DeLarge played by Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange

Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt/Edward Norton in Fight Club

"The Dude" Lebowski played by Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski

Mickey Knox played by Woody Harrellson in Natural Born Killers

I suggest you give Dirty Harry a view if you can. While dated it still is a good flick. :D

I've seen Hannibal Lechter mentioned a couple times.

It's *Lecter

Dirty Harry kicks ass!

"I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

Really? I thought it was the symbiote suit thingy.

My sarcasm-sense is tingling...

The symbiote first merges with Spider-man and then with Eddie Brock. (Jr. in the movie and the Ultimate universe.)

And yes it has been confirmed that Venom will appear in SP3, Topher Grace will play the role of Eddie Brock Jr. If you're interested I suggest you read the Wikipedia article on Spider-man 3 (contains spoilers though).

Baron Vladimir Harkonnen! Oh, yes! The first Dune movie, but he's far more evil in the version from the year 2000.

What do you think?

Really? I thought it was the symbiote suit thingy.

Well, Venom is the symbiote creature. From what I saw in the teaser trailer it'll mostly be in symbiosis with Spidey in the third sequel, but I heard that Venom (Eddie Brock with the symbiote) will appear at least near the end of the movie as a prelude to a fourth part, if it doesn't appear sooner in the movie.

I heard (Only read if you want a bigger than life spoiler):

Venom will premiere in the move, and have an active roll of a sorts. However, someone else shows up CARNAGE.

According to a rumor, Carnage will be in the last scene of the movie.

Little off topic maybe, but is is the new Dune version much better? I have only seen the old one, and though it sucked

The new movie is actually a 3 part miniseries, each part lasts an hour and a half and is in my opinion far better than the old one. It portrays the story from the books far better than the original Dune. There's also a sequel miniseries (also 3 parts, each part lasts an hour and a half) that portrays the story from the Dune Messiah and the Children of Dune books.
