I run a Jedi Academy mod site, but I'd still rather see KotOR 3. JK series is dead in the water, as far as I'm concerned. Jedi Academy was the nail in the coffin.

I love both of these series, but the making of a KotOR III is much more realistic than JK4. KotOR has a much larger fan-base and it has a much better story. As InyriForge said, Jedi Academy was a big letdown and turned away a lot of the JK fans. I still liked it, but it was much worse than the previous JK games. So all in all, I would much rather see KotOR III be made.

Id like to see a Jedi Knight 3 yeah. Remember JKA is not JK3, i think of it as a mod tbh. Jk3 would be good and il try find Jason Court to get him to do the fmv's, im sure he's still stalking me.

kotor3.

Though to be fair the new engine would greatly benefit a JK game.

Well, if you wnt "jk3" as you say you can also yell for "DF3" if you want, which would be nice also.

Seeing as how this is the KotOR board, it would seem obvious to me what most people would vote :D

Add to that the "to be continued" sort of ending to TSL, and I have no doubt K3 will win by a landslide. I vote for too for that reason alone.

That's not to say I wouldn't like JK4. That could be a cool game, although I like KotOR's RPG system and turn-based combat (even if it is crummy old d20 rules) better than than the FPS-style of the JK series. Still, JK4 could be lots of fun, even though it is definitely second to K3 for me.

Good point. You can choose the view you prefere. Actually you can choose it in KoTOR too, but there you can't move around while in FPS. Hmmm, there's something that should be incorporated into the next KoTOR. Along with, maybe, a realtime fighting system.

Why not both?
Of course both would be preferable. The point of this thread is if you had to choose one, which would you choose. Why post like that? :stick:

I don't exactly think this is going to be a fair poll, seeing how this is a KOTOR forum ;).

My vote goes to K3, even though JK4 seems more likely because of LucasArts new engine for SW 2007, which is likely the next JK game.

The default key is Caps Lock, but, as I've said, you can't move while you're in FP view mode.

Erm, I got an Xbox. Is there any way to have a first-person view on Xbox? I have a bad feeling the answer is a No.

Got to be KotOR 3, althought I dont think JK:A was as bad as you lot make out... I enjoyed it! But I would much rather see KotOR as the strory and plot is far more involving.

Yeah, I'd go for K3. My main reason would be looking at the plot of TSL and it's to be cont ending. Both games were great and obviously the second was leading up to a conclusion.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Jedi Knight games. JK1 and JO were plain fun, JA was something of a let down but it had it's moments. With the tidy end of JA (light side has been canonised). The next JK game would need to drive away from the group of dark jedi and stormies trying to destroy the New Republic. As if JA was the final nail to the coffin, redoing the JO/JA formula would be dropping it into the grave.

I would rather play KotOR III than Jedi Knights IV. It's not that I dislike the JK series, but I just couldn't get into it the same way. By the time I had actually played it the graphics were severly dated, and each level I spent literally hours and hours wandering around aimlessly trying to discover where I was going. (Nar Shadda was the worst.)
