What kind of lightsaber duelist were you?

I'm just curious as to what other people's strategies are when it comes to lightsaber combat. So here are the basic questions:

 

 

1) What classes are you?

 

2) What items do you equip? Did your Exile wear robes or armor?

 

3) What kind of lightsaber do you wield? Single, Dual, or Double-bladed? And what color?

 

4) What Lightsaber form do you use the most?

 

5) What Force Powers do you use to augment your saber skills? Or did you just use the Force as your blade?

 

 

As for me, I was a Jedi Guardian/Jedi Weapon Master, with Dark Jedi Master Robes, the Enhancement D-Package implant and the CNS Strength Enhancer. My guy wielded a single green saber with the "your name" crystal and the Solari Crystal. I was most partial to using Juyo, the Ferocity Form, and I hardly used aggressive Force Powers like Lightning or wave. But since I had all 3 powers that were used in Force Enlightenment, that made Force Enlightenment my favorite passive power. These combinations made me able to cut through Dark Jedi like a lightsaber through... well a lightsaber through Dark Jedi, really

I've played the game a lot, so I have many combinations, I'll list one of my favorite ones here.

 

1. Sentinel/Watchman

2. Robes, since armor has that really low dex cap.

3. Single, purple, yellow, or green.

4. I switched often depending on the situation, since forms are situational it seems to me. I was mostly a practicioner of Shii-cho, and then Niman.

5. Wave, stasis field, all buff powers.

I've got a question acutally. I play as consular, and only ever end up getting shii cho, mikashi and and the other basic one.

I've never gotten Niman specifically.

And I want to get it. How is this accomplished?

there are 6 saber forms, and one basic force form.

 

Consulars learn 3 saber forms, and then the 4 force forms (1 basic, 3 from the jedi masters).

 

Sentinels and Guardians learn all 6 saber forms, but only the 1 basic force form.

 

So, you'd have to change what class you play to get these forms, or use KSE to add them to you. I'm pretty sure they're found under the force power section.

My LSF Jedi Exile, Sera Tana was a Jedi Consular/Jedi Master.

Jedi Master Robes for me. I would have worn the Grey Jedi Robes, but I couldn't find them, so the best Jedi Master Robe in the game.

 

3. What kind of Lightsaber do you wield? Single, Dual, or Double-bladed? And what colour?

 

Single blue. Before the events of TSL, my Exile had a single yellow Lightsaber and if her single blue Lightsaber was destroyed, she would have a single green Lightsaber.

 

4. What Lightsaber form do you use the most?

 

Not sure. I'm not an expert with the Lightsaber Forms, so I used the default one.

 

5. What Force Powers do you use to augment your saber skills? Or did you just use the Force as your blade?

 

I used both the Force and the Lightsaber.

KSE is the KotOR Save Game Editor.

 

All that the force forms do is they modify how your powers are applied, they don't change visuals or anything, but they can improve force power regen or force power strength.

 

Another combo I'm fond of is...

 

1. Consular/Sith Lord

2. Robes, since armor has that really low dex cap and robes usually have better wisdom bonus.

3. Single, red.

4. I generally used the "high damage, high force power cost" force form since I had a near-unlimited supply of force and it increased pain-causing.

5. Kill, Death Field, Force Storm, Drain Force...all dark side powers.

2) Robes... Artema's Robe tends to be one of my favoured ones

 

3) Single... Green

 

4) Depends whom I'm fighting.. Ataru if its one on one with other force sensetives.

 

5) I'm a lightsider so all LS ones apart from Force Choke (Luke does use it in RotJ on the Gammorean guards) Force Immunity is the main power I go with.

I usually wear some self-made Bastila robes. Then I use all strength-boosting items I can find.

I usually wield 2 Silver lightsabers with I don't know which crystal, just the best stuff I can find without spending money for it

I usually use Master stun, Destroy Droid, Force Storm, Master Heal, Battle Meditation, Force Enlightment,...oh, and Burst of Speed, Force wave, Horror, Kill and that revival thing, whatever it is called.(wow, that's a lot - That's why I like the Jedi Master) Basically, half of my enemies are dead, before I or my companions even get there.

hmm, here's my favourites:

 

1) Sentinel/Watchman

2) Robes/belts/implants/gloves/energy shields. No headsets usually, don't like the look of them.

3) Sabrestaff mostly, though i like dual wielding as well.

4) Ataru

5) Force enlightenment when i get it, Speed otherwise, mixed in with damaging powers.

1) My class was Consular, Master, ... Who ever get most force points...

 

2) Anything that give strenght, stamina and speed... (But nothing that

makes the character look bad like goggles and such... no matter what

good they might do) And padawan or jedi robes (knights and masters

robes looks stupid)

 

3) Single/Staff and either silver, purple or light blue... (pref. light blue)

 

4) ?? Hmm... Don't know... nor care... But when attacking with saber

or other melee its Always... Flurry, flurry and more flurry...

 

5) Lots of stasis and/or insanity... And of course 360 degree lightning

and pushing waves when ever they are possible and work...

1) Sentinel, for the skills/ Guardian, for the kick-ass fighting

2) Just jedi robes, plus anything that boosts stats and looks cool on the character

3) Two handed single bladed lightsabers, either blue-blue or blue-purple

4) Whatever style that fits the combat most; flurry for its effectiveness, and power strike for the very cool animation

5) Force lightning, one stroke kills all.

4) Flurry alot of the time.

 

5) Stasis and Heal, didn't really use any others but occasionaly disable droid or storm.

I was:

 

A Consular/Master/Lord

 

Single Viridian/Red blade wielder, buffed with myname crystal and the Kasha crystal. I also favor the Jal Shey and Makutai items, and the Pheromone Package.

 

Robes, as they are do not block FP. My favorite are the Ossus Keeper Robes, due to the CHA, WIS, and INT bonuses. Also, you always can get them, as they are always in the Onderon artifacts, along with the Viridian crystal.

 

As for powers, as LS I favor Valor for the bonuses on everything, Speed for the extra attacks, and Energy Resistance as its long-lasting, with Enlightenment later on, of course. Then I spam Wave. As DS, I use Plague as it's unsaveable, and Scream if the target(s) needs some more weakening. Then I use Kill or Crush in a duel, or Storm in a large battle.

 

Form? I use Potency mostly as DS, and Mastery mostly as LS. I sometimes use Makashi against Jedi, other than that, I don't use Saber forms, just my precious caster-only force forms.
