And birth control won't be an issue for a few more months... :dozey:

Indy Jones is great!

Go see it ASAP.

It starts a bit slow... and isn't quite up to the action standards set by the first one... but it's still much better than anything I've seen in years.

Also: I'm still not really a fan of that Shia kid... but I tolerated him in this movie.

Movie wasn't even too crowded. Got perfect seats. Sweet!

EDIT:

Just clicked back to the main page of threads... there's currently 21 people looking, including myself!!!

Egads!

Yeah... that number has to be a mistake.

I don't think we could have had that many people here at one time even back in the glory days.

The only thing I can imagine is that people were hitting on the thread while searching for new posts mentioning "Indiana Jones."

Other than a complete server glitch, it's the only answer that makes any sense...

So we're back up and upgraded then, are we?

Kewl.

Just in time for me to leave for 2 weeks... :dozey:

I have no idea if I'll have any kind of connection down there,.. but I'm dragging the laptop around with me just in case. I'm really kinda doubting it... but you never know.

I'll post if I can... otherwise, it's up to youse guys to keep the thread alive in my absence.

That was my basic assessment. At, or almost, on par with Temple, though. Not the best... but still far better than most of the crap that hits theaters in any given year.

The other 3 are still greater... but it wasn't horrid,.. and I'll see it again.

I wish the first reel had a bit less talking,.. and the whole movie had a bit less Shia.

Yes you are.

But if I hadn't been travelling this weekend, I'm sure I would have put it off myself until today or tomorrow,

But none of my friends from work could make it this weekend, so Thursday was the only day we could all go together.

Normally I really try to avoid the opening day/ opening weekend crowds... but it really wasn't too bad the other night. It was a pretty early showing that night, though. It got more crowded later.

Getting out of the house to catch a flick with friends is really something I need to force myself to do more often once I get back.

I hope to pick up where we left off with the bowling we were doing too...

But in terms of being a bad monkey about not seeing things: I STILL haven't seen Cloverfield... which was the last movie I tried to get some folks together to see... despite it being out on video already.

And I also haven't seen Transformers yet, either.

Yeah... I know... don't say it... :dozey:

I haven't seen transformers either. Didn't really see a point.

DId see Indy and the crystal skull. Except for new special effects, and an older harrison ford (not to mention Post WWII timeframe) It wasn't much different then any of the other indy movies.

"Don't call it a snake, call it a rope"

"IT'S A ROPE!"

Last night was my first league night in 15 years, and while I didn't do as well as I had hoped (sandwiched a 179 game between a couple of games in the 140s), it still felt good to be back. I have good teammates, too, so I'm hoping we do well this summer. Will be blogging in detail later.
