Shem
With the 39 point win in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals, I'm pleased to see Kobe Bryant choke the big one and hope that many of those so called experts would quit comparing him to Michael Jordan as Kobe isn't even close. I doubt it will stop, but I'm hoping it will slow it down. I'm also happy for guys like Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and of course the long time Celtic Paul Pierce (the Finals MVP). What a great year it was for them and I feel like a kid again since I was a kid the last time the Celtics won an NBA title. Again, congrats to the Celtics! Prime
Doc Rivers > Phil Jackson That was the thumping of all thumpings. Kobe/Jackson legacy tarnished!
Rev7
Congrats Celtics! You earned it! Yeah, I don't like Kobe that much....
Rogue Nine
As a New Yorker, it pains me to see another Boston sports team win a championship. However, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce definitely earned it and I'm glad to see them finally win one. They're all excellent, competitive athletes and stand-up guys, so I don't really mind being happy for them, especially since I'm not a Knicks fan. MacTavish
I wanted the Celtics to win, but Pau Gasol is my player. If he were still on the Grizzlies I'd be cheering for the Celtics 100% but, congrats to Boston!
Jeff
Seeing the Lakers go down like that only makes me wish even more the Pistons would have beaten Boston in the Eastern conference finals... But the Celtics were definitely the best team this year so they deserved it.

Titanius Anglesmith
I would've preferred for LeBron and the Cavs to have gotten a championship this year, but it was definitely nice to see LA get pounded. That 26-6 run at the end of the second quarter was awesome.

DarthAve
I would've preferred for LeBron and the Cavs to have gotten a championship this year People around where I live have just shut up about the Cavs losing in the playoffs... I couldn't care less, considering I've got high school sports to worry about.
adamqd
I've caught what I can of the Finals on NBA.com, as it's rarely on in England (Probably cause we suck at it... Apart from me of course) Nice to see Boston come up, The Big Ticket ruled! Go-Go Gadget arms
Exile007
Not to mention people keep getting the team Kobe is on switched on, he's not on the Lakers he's on the Rapers. Woo! Go Celtics (even though I live in California)!
Pho3nix
The NBA hasn't been the same since Michael Jordans heydays.
gm5k
im a big Kobe fan, i like the Lakers as well. congrats to the Celtics, they really earned it. however, Spurs will be back in 08/09 baby (please God let us get younger) The NBA hasn't been the same since Michael Jordans heydays. and it never will. Michael Jordan essentially destroyed the NBA by being incomparably good. watch what happens to golf ratings when Tiger Woods retires(although that hopefully won't be for a while) it's not Kobe's, LBJ's, or anyone else's fault that they're not as good as Jordan. it's always such an unfair comparison. i feel like KOTOR did this same thing to me playing other RPG's. nothing measures up, and all i want is KOTOR III!!!!! Da_Man_2423
Wish Kevin Garnett was still here in Minnesota... Congrats to all the Celtics, not just the Big 3. Every single one of them earned it.
gm5k
Wish Kevin Garnett was still here in Minnesota... . let McHale know about it. he's the one that F'd everything up. although it also had a lot to do with Garnett's ridiculous contract.

I don't think he'd listen to me, but Garnett was better off in Boston anyway after Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell left the T'Wolves.

I thought I was the only person who thought Cleveland didn't deserve to go near the Finals because they only have one relativly good player! Da_Man_2423
Wish Kevin Garnett was still here in Minnesota... He doesn't. Actually, he was pretty content here in Minnesota and at first didn't want to be apart of Boston at all. Then he got smart and realized the T'Wolves were going nowhere. Titanius Anglesmith
Ugh. Apart from LeBron that band of scrubs doesn't deserve to sniff the Finals To be honest, I don't care at all about the Cavs. I've been a big fan of LeBron's since back in his St. Vincent-St. Mary days, and I root for whatever team he plays for. He just happens to play for the Cavs.
