Burnseyy
I hated tutorials and art lessons on how to draw. I just practised. and what do you mean how do I colour in? Like, what I use, or what technique?
Astor
and what do you mean how do I colour in? Like, what I use, or what technique? Well both really - do you do it by hand, or using a computer?
Marius Fett
Watercolours I think.
Burnseyy
Oooh. That's by hand. I did use Picasa 6 or something, to patch the brightness/contrast up a tad, but that's it. I use water colour pencils, and basically mix a few of the colours together to get certain 'shades'.
Marius Fett
You should get Photoshop/GIMP. Makes the computer editiing part MUCH easier.

Darth_Yuthura
Sorry I haven't replied earlier, but the Mira painting was great. I haven't worked with water colored pencils, but I think I should give it a try.
Burnseyy
it's a bit of a pain, and I'm only using them because I have nothing else, at the moment. But it's definitely helped me out. Thanks!

HIGH ON PIE 14
Sorry, I have not got to this sooner Burnseyy! Wow Mira came out great...really looks like her, especially the face. This has prompted get back into drawing, I don´t have much talent, but its fun, and thats the important part. Just don´t expect a "HOP´s Art Thread" or anything. Not the tips everbody was hoping for though eh? You seem like a talented, friendly person Burnseyy...whoever wouldn´t give you a job...they are not worth your time. "drooltastic"? Wheee! - great work here Burnseyy, I´m now really excited for my request. (Don´t rush or anything, just got really excited especially after seeing how well Mira came out.) -HOP
Burnseyy
Atton It doesn't look much like him, but it'll pass. It also looks like he's holding the lightsaber awkwardly and standing dead goofy - but that's just to make him look like he's moving in for an attack. Also, I chose NOT to put him in robes, despite having a lightsaber, because seriously - he doesn't look right in them. And his outfit is far better. JAvatar80
I like ze Atton, Burnseyy. And I agree...Atton just doesn't look good in robes. He and Disciple don't need matching outfits. I do like this Atton...kinda like Star Wars meets Cowboy Bebop.

Burnseyy
Thanks a bunch for the compliments, guys. @HOP (if he reads this): Marit is well under way. PS. I used to watch cowboy bebop, before my mum said I was too young to watch it >_> and now I'm old enough... Toonami has vanished!
Darth_Yuthura
That is a remarkable piece of work. How long did it take you to draw that? I especially liked the shadow effects. Those are hard to do.
