Tommycat Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Good point Jae. When I lived in Corpus Christi Texas, it was pretty well just called Corpus. Kinda funny thought on that... It translated to Body of Christ... There was a Los Angeles class submarine that got designated Corpus Christi. People got upset about it, because the warship was named after the body of Christ, so it had to be renamed The City of Corpus Christi. Yet The USS Los Angeles didn't have to be renamed even though it was named after The Angels. Nal Hutta supposedly translated to Glorious Jewel. I could see dropping "Glorious."
Astor Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Looks interesting, but wasn't Nal Hutta always touted as a place no-one except the Hutts would want to go? I thought that was why Nar Shadaa was the focal point of the system.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I'm guessing Bioware is trying it's best to present new environments. Hence the new planet Tython, Coruscant post-sacking (probably with a much more different atmosphere) and so on. We already saw Nar Shaddaa, time to taste the Glorius Jewe-- the Jewel.
Tommycat Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 ...time to taste the Glorius Jewe-- the Jewel. I am not tasting anything on Hutta.
Nedak Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Very interesting. I hope they show Dantooine next. I'm a sucker for that place.
KotO[REvan] Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Oh! I've always wanted to visit this planet since it was mentioned in TSL. Looks very awesome! What I don't understand is the holographic dancers in the cantina on such a slave-driven planet. Looks good so far, though. @^ I'd rather see planets that haven't already been used in past games. -.- I think OR could use some originality. Dantooine has already been in both KotORs anyway.
Nedak Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Of course orginality is great, but visiting such iconic places makes my mouth water. I've always loved the look of Dantooine. ... Well atleast on KOTOR. SWG's Dantooine is horrible imho. I would also like to see Tatooine, as far as any other iconic planets go. For this planet, I hope that there is environmental damage so that you have to wear a gasmask of some type.
Jae Onasi Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Maybe Hutta is one of those places that looks good but reeks of bantha fodder.
Mav Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Maybe Hutta is one of those places that looks good but reeks of bantha fodder.Like Venice...
Nedak Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 There are going to be houses on it now? I feel sorry for the person who chooses to live there.
Tommycat Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 ;2591952']What I don't understand is the holographic dancers in the cantina on such a slave-driven planet. *puts on +20 shirt of justification* Holographic dancers don't wear out the merchandise.
SW01 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 There are going to be houses on it now? I feel sorry for the person who choses to live there. Judging by the concept art, I wouldn't mind one of those Hutt palaces...
Nedak Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Judging by the concept art, I wouldn't mind one of those Hutt palaces... You would choose that over an apartment on Coruscant? Or Manann?
SW01 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 You would choose that over an apartment on Coruscant? Or Manann? I'd take an apartment on Coruscant in a heartbeat, Manaan would have to have some sort of automated anti-Fishy weapon mounted somewhere! I wonder how much we'd be expected to pay in-game for a house on Hutta? (If that is how things like that work...) I think any more than 100 credits for the Palace is pushing it.
Nedak Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Everybody hates the Selkath... it makes me weep.
Nedak Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I will be the defender of all the Selkath then
Mav Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I will be the defender of all the Selkath then A Selky sympathizer... kill him
Tommycat Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Everybody hates the Selkath... it makes me weep. I like the Selkath. A little butter, lemon juice, pepper and salt to taste.
Nedak Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 You'll all see. One day you'll love the Selkath as well.
Jeff Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Maybe when they learn to talk a bit lot faster.
Mav Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Maybe Bioware will make the Selkath a playable species, then we can all laugh at you when the little Zabrak and Twi'lek children start throwing rocks as you walk down the street
Nedak Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Hey hey hey hey. I never said I'd be a Selkath. I play either a Zab, Human, or Ithorian.
