Jeopando Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I doubt we have to worry about the 2015-thing anymore. The evil man who made that threat has been taken care of some time ago already.
Thrik Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I don't know how the 2015 thing got so much momentum. The guy was clearly being tongue-in-cheek, and he's been long gone from LucasArts anyway. If anyone still thinks that year has any relevance they are clearly mental.
urluckyday Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I totally can't wait 'til 2015! That's when Lucasarts is going to make its comeback!!! Best year ever...
irishmile Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Im ok with LA sticking with it if they let other publishers TTG make games from their franchises
Fealiks Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 In 2015 we'll be riding hoverboards playing a remake of The Secret of Monkey Island. Pfft, like that'd ever happen. Edit: Oh, and: "Last hint: someone guessed it dead on. With that, I am off to bed. You'll know more in 12 or so hours. You guys are all awesome." Blimey.
irishmile Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Maybe they are going to announce that they are opening a episodic adventure game dept to sell online episodes through Lucasarts.com Now that other companies did all the work of building up that medium..
Tower Five Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I think I guessed it. I posted the following on Twitter 22 hours ago... 'Rerelease of all adventures, geared for modern systems & choice remakes for the fan faves... Tentacle, LeChuck & Atlantis?' The fella using the 'lucasartsgames' twitter account never replied to me, and I don't believe it was out of ignorance, but to keep secrecy right until the forthcoming announcement. The announcement caters for old school fans, does not rely on new IP and I assume already has the first stages of new artwork and technical demos available to the in-house team for release to the public. But who knows...

But who knows... I didn't get a reply either so I really doubt that means you got it right... My guess was that they would be announcing Virtual Console releases. Do you realise how many people are guessing? They can't reply to everyone!
Tower Five Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 But... 'Spose you're right. Virtual console, 360 and PS3 releases would be charming, I forgot about them.
irishmile Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I have a feeling its going to be kind of "meh, so what"
Tower Five Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Perhaps they'll sneakily throw the fan community a bone by releasing high resolution individual postcards of each of the LeChuck's Revenge scanned background artworks. You know, just in case they started looking the other way when it came to unofficial remakes...
Irfaan Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Well, I'm certainly looking forward, and I'm starting to get impatient for monkey island SE, I have been saving the ms points in my account since announcement! And I'm an impulse buyer! But I will still wait, it's just...hard :-(
George! Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I just can't wait for the announcement. I really hope will be a hd-release of the classics. PS Hi everyone, I've just registered on the board!
Longcat Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 And I am off to work. Gotta let people know you're starting to figure it out. You Twitter people are too smart. 6 minutes ago from TwitterFon
parabolee Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 How long do you think his journey to work is? lol Do you think they will announce as soon as he get's there, or after he's had a coffee?
irishmile Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Yeah lets hope he skips the floss and extra bagel this morning I have worked myself into an excited stupor this news better deliver and not be underwhelming
parabolee Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I have worked myself into an excited stupor this news better deliver and not be underwhelming It will. There are too many things we want, for it to deliver. Hope I'm wrong though.

Man, you are TOO funny. That "fella" didn't reply to 99% of the tweets. Here was my (boring) guess: All the classics are going to made available for download in versions that work on modern machines?
ThunderPeel2001 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Well he's in work (whoever he is) he just Tweeted again: RT @tabledrummer: @lucasartsgames and remember: the people are replying because of a LUCASARTS GAME, not because of you as a person. /cry
