JediAthos
It's about time...this guy is the biggest crackpot and 90% of the garbage that comes out of his mouth has little or no substance behind it. Jack you've finally unlocked an achievement...the "Out on your Butt" achievement for getting tossed from every decent court in the country because nobody wants to listen to you anymore. Good Riddance *Edit* and might I add...na na na na hey hey goodbye! (if there is a god)
SW01
Maybe that will stop him from harassing our dear GTA franchise. I love the way he's trying to make out that he is being targeted by the Federal Courts System and the Government for filing a lawsuit: Thompson claimed Judge Moreno had improperly placed him on a terrorist watch list, an apparent reference to a visit by two US Marshals to his home last summer. Then he bemoaned the massive cost of obtaining the large number of documents needed to prove his argument. "Now you have entered a show cause order demanding that I explain why you should not disbar me from the federal court, and in doing so you have told me to spend at least $30,000 to make my case in producing documents all of which the Florida Supreme Court has and (can) give [sic] you free of charge," wrote Thompson. "If I get sent to Gitmo as a 'terrorist,' then please send the stuff there." First thing of course is the casual accusations of corruption/vendetta. Always a good thing to direct towards a Judge. Then why not winge about the cost of a defence? Of course, I'm sure he prepared a lot of defences and frivolous claims for absolutely nothing... I personally think that disbarment procedure is absolutely brilliant! Just the idea of having to explain why you should have the pleasure of continuing to work in law - excellent! Darth Avlectus
I actually remember Michael Savage (That's right, a conservative said this) on the radio basically criticizing this guy (or at least the censor group) for being, well, censorist towards freedom of expression. (I think he likes guns, and plays some of these games too be honest--but he'll never admit it! ) His points: 1) Violent video games are a tension outlet for young men and if that we censored or omitted them, they would get something akin to cabin fever out of boredom and not outlet--or worse actually commit a violent act due to pent up angst. 2) While not suitable for kids, he saw no reason adults couldn't enjoy it, especially if they were raised level headed and *know the difference between a video game and real life*. 3) Though Savage did support the idea that such violent games like GTA should not be available to kids, and like cigarettes and booze, you should still be able to get them; you just need valid identity for proof of age. Which I am not opposed to either. No censorship, just decency standards/guidelines and give parents that helping hand.
Rabish Bini
Love the mission in GTA IV when you have to break in and kill a lawyer. All I have to say is... ...It's about bloody time
Astor
To be fair, I don't think any sane person has taken him seriously since he was disbarred last year. After all, it's pretty hard to take a man who sends homosexual pornography to a judge as a case brief seriously.
JediAthos
Yeah...the guy's a joke. Assuming he did go to an actual accredited law school, he should have been able to come up with a much better way to attempt to go about the things he tried to accomplish. Instead he turned into a fanatic, and is now the laughing stock of the law community.

Just goes to show intelligence and ideology don’t always mix well (or at all).
Sabretooth
Hmm I thought he was already finished. Always figured that when lawyers were barred from courts they were banished into an infernal alternate reality of some sort.
Web Rider
Unfortunately even if he is no longer a lawyer, that doesn't mean he can't get other lawyers to start his lawsuits, or just go around being a jerk about violent video games.
JediAthos
True but perhaps if he is federally disbarred no one will take any suit he presents and he'll just become a pain the rear activist.
