Voice Acting

THAT'S WHY IT'S A PART TIME JOB. It usually doesn't pay nearly enough for a full-time job, but it gives you a pleasant bonus. Please watch "Adventures in Voice Acting" and then continue this conversation.

On a more serious note, can you sing? If you can that means more jobs are available for you, and the vocal control that comes with it is a pretty good thing.

Yes I can. My dad says that even though I don't want to become a singer, I should have voice acting as a part-time job.

JM

EDIT: This conversation is over. It's not going anywhere. I joined a website that gives people voice acting jobs, then I got a voice acting job. It's not that hard to understand. More information on my voice acting jobs will be posted at my forum.

Assuming this is real, Congratulations!

Although, you might want to practice your 'British (or English)' accent (I'm assuming that's the 'Commander Treyfus' voice) - it doesn't sound British - it sounds more like upper class mid-atlantic.

Understand, JM, that those of us who have said they think it might be a scam are concerned for YOU. There are a lot of sickos out there aspiring to be like Det. Bart and take advantage of younger people, financially or physically. You got an email instead of a regular letter, and that raises red flags for those of us who've seen the different ways people can get screwed.

Whatever you do, don't do any voice work until your parent(s) have reviewed the contract, preferably with a lawyer. Just because it's Disney doesn't mean a company won't try to get whatever they can out of you. ;)

Jae's right, Caleb. You should really look it over more closely. Besides, doesen't disney prefer AUDITIONS? Besides, just as a friendly tip, Disney doesen't treat it's actors the best. Even starting with the smallest commercial can lead to you being a minor character ona sitcom (Suite life on Deck for example) which will lead to you being a major character on a show like that, then a movie, then you may have your own show (The Junior Modder Show!) If you don't mind, I ould also like to talk with these people so I can see speak with them in person. Canu PM me their email or phone. If this isn't in fact a scam, I may be interested in doing similar things (without becoming a huge star).

Hell, even this kind of spam crap comes through ebay affiliates. I registered for ebay, then I started getting all kinds of BS junk mail.

It looked like stuff such as:

BUY MEDS CHEAP!

Look at my camera!

SPECIAL JOB! Get paid $250K/yr. just by sitting at your computer and working from home!

Special financial transaction make you rich! I haf special transaction for american person. Do not told any one authorities if doesn't appreciate offe I am trying to give you.

Meet hot latina girls in your area!

Career search: We need dental assistants ans poliuce investigators!

Or my favorite: offers for

FREE COMPUTER! FREE GAME CONSOLE! FREE TOOLS!

---Yeahm, don't fall for it. Seriously. Hardly even worth the effort of looking at.

It's already bad enough there are con artists in legit places like ebay and the like--we have to deal with it. These scammers in mail or email...REALLY not worth your time. Better safe than sorry.

EDIT: Misspelling is horribly evident in these emails!
