I know some thought it was played out, but it was Rock Band's only real competition. Do you think the loss of those franchises above will hurt Activision in the long run? Don't get me wrong, GH is amazingly fun. But turning it into another endless franchise, recycled every year with a new package and same content. They did the right thing. Jae Onasi Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Harmonix just split off Rock Band and is its own company again--I suspect EA/Activision/etc. aren't seeing $$$ in music games anymore, although I have to say Billy Joel on RB3 is major win.
