Tim's updates are marked as 'backers only' in the emails now. It's all meant to be private for everyone but those who backed it.

Seeing how you're not going to ever be able to play the game, why do you care so much?

That was the reason he gave for not backing the project. If he can't sent money online, then he can't buy the game, either.

Unless of course the game will be so successful that it's going to be available in brick-and-mortar stores. :)

 

But yeah, if you didn't back the project, you'll just have to wait until the game is done (like me).

Pretty unlikely, I think, but who knows... There are definitely no plans at the moment.

 

Just an FYI for those who couldn't bring themselves to pay, but who would like to know what's going on: Update 8 was more about the history of Double Fine and Kickstarter. It was the first bit of the documentary by 2PP. It wasn't an update made by Tim.
