The next time some guy in a bar tells you some sh*t like that, get up and get the nearest pool cue...then hit him in the balls with the heavy end, bo-staff style. Pour your beer on him as he's rolling around on the floor and say, 'Thanks for ruining my drink, a$$hole!' Drop the bottle on his head and leave.

Strangers really aren't to be trusted. :dozey:

Your not alone there.

I don't trust people at all anymore. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but actual trust, that just doesn't happen.

Its not paranoia, its healthy skepticism.

Edit: Nothing? I was expecting some laughs out of that statement.

This is my "home bar" and the drinks I have are are in 32oz glass steins that weight about 4 pounds. I might commit suicide if i got banned from it

:max: BWAAA-haw-haw-haw!

I am also skeptical of strangers. After all, they are by definition 'stranger.' Than me. And that's pretty strange...

Whelp, I had a thoroughly confusing math class last night.

*sigh* now for more time in the help center, while some tutor tries to teach this class to me.

I might drop this class, and try taking again next semester, if this wasn't my final semester.

playing the 'i dont give a ****' card this semester...i'm missing roughly 3 weeks of classes thanks to the national guard for hazmat training next week and my full time job sending me to department of corrections on finals week.

Posted

huh, did you have to fill out a form to let the school know you were in the national gaurd?

otherwise I would think they'd get pissed at a student up and missing class like that.

yeah, it's more of a pain in the ass for me than for them. having to cram and idk i'm just in it for the housing allowance anymore. think i'm going to just take a break and go get a job at a prison somewhere around here, they pay between 30 and 50,000 a year. easy for me to get in one since i'm a veteran.

At my work they are wondering why so many people are leaving, and not staying. Also they don't really want to do anything to fix it, like increasing pay, less work on sunday, less overtime

The building managers only solution to deal with too much incoming freight is to have overtime. Wisconsin state law allows mandatory overtime. The manager will also schedule mandatory overtime on scheduled days off, sometimes with as little as 12 hours notice. In order to have those days off you have to schedule paid time off a month in advance

But they are still scratching their heads trying to figure out why people wont stay

I just opened up the newspaper and saw that one of my best friends from middle/high school was arrested for possession of child pornography :eyeraise:

I haven't talked to him in about ten years. This is so bizarre. I hope it's some sort of mistake.

Home again. Last day of vacation. Back to the grind tomorrow.

On the bright side: Only 50 more weeks of sheer working-life brutality to suffer before I can (maybe...) get another couple of weeks off! It should go by in a jiffy! :dozey:

That happened to a cook I worked with; he had naughty pictures on the computer. Two guys with sunglasses from the FBI handcuffed him right there on the cook's line, walked him out. He's in federal prison now.

:dozey: It's just one of many colorful stories I've collected over the years. What I wonder about is, what are the stories no one finds out?

KK, your job sucks. :max: Tell them I said that, and when they ask what it is they suck at, say, 'That's on, not at...and it's donkey balls.'

They're in stores! :D

The titanium series ships from the new movie are out. This one is the new X-wing. I have to make room for it in my small models cabinet (which is where most of my titanium series collection resides.)

Yes, I'm taking it out of the box. :dozey: Can't bloody well play with it in the box...

I never understood why possession was a problem.

Creation, sure. Round up all the creators you can find, fasten them to a stake, and burn them like witches (been reading the Dresden files). I'll bring the marshmallows to that camp fire.

But just owning it, I don't see the problem.

The demand of those who wish to possess it creates the supply of those who create it. :indif: You have to stamp out both.

...You also have to stamp out the sickos who would view it. Ew.

Right. Plus, it was a BitTorrent thing, so I guess there was probably distribution involved too.
