This one, as well as the one with Michael Land, were my absolute favourites so far. I’m such a huge fan of the music in LucasArts games! Both in terms of general composition, interactivity and production quality!

These interviews were long, but they were worth every single minute of listening. Getting this behind the scenes look with so much inside info, but also hearing and feeling their compassion about their work, is just pure fun!

So thanks again for contributing these moments to the fan community!

Thank you for the kind words!

I'm glad you enjoyed these interviews!

(I plan to upload the Michael Land one to Spotify soon)

Amazing stuff! I hope the clips can eventually go up on archive.org or in the VGHF library or some other place where they can be archived and preserved.

The only thing I'm left wondering is... why isn't "Albu uncovers test footage of never released Indiana Jones FMV game" a front page post yet?

Actually I'm wondering about that with each of his videos. It doesn't get more Mojo-centric than interviewing any LucasArts veteran for half a day.

Well, after Time Extension beat us to the coverage, suicide watch for @Remi has been a round-the-clock duty for the staff.

Recently, there was a Kickstarter campaign that promised the "lost script" of Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix as a stretch goal.

The problem is, there is no such script.

That's why I got project lead Aric Wilmunder to give us all the true story behind the cancelled Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix game!

Wow.

Also glad Aric talked to you about his TEMPLE OF DOOM prequel idea that covers how Indy found the remains of Nurhachi. I had the privilege of getting to do a similar rap session (unrecorded) with him as part of the research for Mojo's Iron Phoenix article six years ago, and I remember that coming up. As you've learned, Aric freely goes on tangents and they're all worth it. I'm glad these stories are out there.

I love Aric's tangents, and in general, I love it when guests go off on tangents. I'm here for everything they have to share with us all.

This will not be my last session with Aric, we already have a session planned in which we'll go over all of the design documents.

Wasn't Aric heavily involved in the Amiga conversion of The Secret of Monkey Island? For some of us that's the definitive edition of that game ❤ī¸Â Would love to hear about that.

In our previous conversation, Aric talked about his involvement in the Amiga versions.

Here are a few snippets:

But if you want, I'll ask him more specific questions about the Amiga versions in my next conversation with him.

Amazing we're getting all these incredible stories. Thanks for your work Daniel!

There's always more questions. I wonder if you'll ever get more details. (like who wrote "LOOM SUCKS" and it would be amazing to see photos of the original LucasArts alumni that Iain McCaig clearly (albeit loosely) based his MI1 VGA portraits on (Guybrush is clearly a self-portrait, for example and Elaine was Avril Harrison, etc. etc)).

I'll get to the bottom of "Loom Sucks", I just haven't talked to the right people yet.

Regarding Elaine being Avril Harrison, I mentioned it in my conversation with Prince of Persia creator, Jordan Mechner.

Nice! Amazing you got to ask him. However... the image you show is the EGA version. Iain McCaig drew the VGA portraits, not the EGA ones.
