Movie Ending

Whats everyone's favorite movie ending? Mine is the end of Cruel Intentions (minus the very very last part where Anette is driving away). I liked how Kathryn's whole life was destroyed by Sebastian's, Anette's, and Cecile's revenge. And how she can never get revenge on Sebastian since he died. Kathryn was all about revenge, sooo it didnt work out for her, and everyone knew about her little drugs-in-a-cross problem

Sixth Sense - very good, never saw that coming....

Nor did I see it coming in Fight Club...........

Both of them have a great ending, totally throwing the movie on it's head right at the end......

The award for the most "Ripped Off" Ending, goes to LOTR:FOTR - I felt so ripped off that when the final scene comes on, that it then fades to black - as long as TTT and ROTK are done well, it will make for a great 3 part movie series. I couldn't believe that was the end of the movie............ I felt like I had watched 3 hrs to only see a small part of the story, that they had just looked over what was on the other side of the mountain - which usually leads to some more screen time.....

I have to agree with Fight Club, usual suspects, bandits. they had great ending.

I figured out the twist of Six Sense 10-15 minutes into it.

But Unbreakable caught me by surpise.

How about worst ending?

Ninth gate (WTF?)

Jeepers Creepers

(worst film I have ever seen)

Once again you mentioned so many good endings before me that I don't need to brought them up again. :)

One that is totally absent though and definitely a classic is the ending from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: Butch and Kid run out from the barn/house where they went into cover themselves during gunfight and right into the line of fire of these Bolivian soldiers who waited for them. Then camera freezes them into that running position just before they are shot down(we can only hear numerous gunshots) and pans backwards to show whole market place. :D

FOTR was SUPPOSED to end like that, it's not a 3 hr movie, it's one big 9 hr. movie broken into 3 segments, just like the book, it wasn't supposed to have a good ending, what it's supposed to do is leave you hanging and waiting in anticipation for the next segment to come out so you can fit together 2 of the 3 pieces and then finally the third, it's not a "rip off" it's great movie making

I never saw Fight Club, what is it about? how does it end? The previews for it didnt look that good, so I didnt really wanna c it.

I'll tell you what it's about......hype! It reals you up into what should have been an ultimate climax, and insults the viewer by slapping him with a cold dead fish. This movie is at it's best when you ditch the plot and focus on the practical jokes that the characters play on the helpless victims, but even that is not worth the price of the DVD.

The book actually ends into event where Frodo runs away and everybody start to search for him; Sam haven't found his master yet. The part where ogres do the surprise hit and Boromir dies(why, oh why did you have to change it so much, Jackson, and included that stupid extended fight?) is from TTT, so the book actually leaves you totally hanging and waiting in anticipation. I still understand though, why Jackson chose to show Boromir's death in FOTR, because it makes it much more dramatic.
