yeah the blair witch project is the only movie that has come close to being scary,

half the time, horror movie are just unconvincing gore-fests

K this freaks me out because I was going to post a thread on this last night and decided I would wait until Halloween.........oh well my loss.

Anyways I don't scare that easy, I love horror movies, yet for some reason Halloween got to me the worst. It doesn't help that I was 4 years old when I saw it. It gave me nightmares. I had elaborate dreams about running from Michael Myers, and no matter how fast I ran he was a few steps behind me. Then I grew out of it and forgot about it. Then again when I was 12 I watched it again and the nightmares came back. One day I was watching it in the basement and fell asleep and the dream came back this time he followe me into a bedroom closet(I'm not making this up) I twisted a hanger and was going to poke him with it, just as his hand punched a hole through the door I woke up and saw his face in the basement window and started screaming, then I woke up again(I hate it when that happens!)

I know there are scarier movies out(see the "Signs" review on my website) but that one just affected me the most for some reason.

Signs was pretty creepy I agree with Tyrion, It creeped me out when I started to think that stuff like this could actually happen.

The first time(s) I watched the "terror on elmstreet" movies I got freaked out and tried to stay awake (lol).

But the scariest movies are the one that doesn't have a lot of blood in them. Like the "Friday the 13th"-movies might be a little creepy but they dont have any real fear to them. I don't have any examples on scary movies right now though, let me get back to ya'll on that.

signs takes the cake for me, cuz i have to drive on an indian reservation and there's constantly people who blend in w/their surroundings when walking on the side of the road at night (not meaning to sound racist but they never wear anything but black at night) so it's really hard to see them til you have to dodge them and it's scary, reminds me of the part where the alien's on the roof, that movie is the scariest one i've ever seen in my whole life, and i saw all the aliens and predator, nighmare on elm street, critters, etc. at a YOUNG age that means somethin ;) kudos to the movie makers!

Event Horizon was an amazing movie, but I didn't find it very scary. Blair witch project was the biggest steaming pile of cr@p I've ever wasted money to see, but, that's just my opinion. Personally, scariest movie ever, Stephen King's "IT". That movie totally scared the bejezus outta me. Perhaps it's because I was 5...

Yeah, I thought that IT was a great movie (except for the endings special effects). There's nothing like evil clowns. That reminds me, anyone seen Killer Klowns from outer space?

They all float down here, and when you're down here YOU'LL FLOAT TOO!!!

Go see it dude. That movie uses the oldest of old tricks to prey on human fear. It's like Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, Jaws and War of the Worlds in one spactacular package. Trust me, you will not be dissapointed.
