Your thoughts on dloaded games

If a game is out, and I go dload it, play it for a while, then delete it, isn't that the same as 'borrowing' a game from someone? think about it. You don't pay your friend money (unless you're nice, or he/she's a jerk) to borrow a game for a while. So, if I go and say, dload Jedi Outcast, planning to delete it as soon as I buy it, or delete it after I beat it, is that illegal, since it's basically borrowing a game...I understand that if you keep the game forever, aka burn it on a cd or something like that, it's probably illegal. But if you do the same thing with borrowing a game from a friend, as long as you return it, it's not illegal.

what are your thoughts on this. (mods, please don't close the thread unless absolutely necessary)

With some downloaded games you gotta delete them after having them in 24hours after that it get illegal (I think its like that at least).

In that case you could just delete it and download it every 24 hours

OMG ITD BE LEGEET!

Practically yes, technically no.

The problem is drawing the line somewhere: "Oooh, but I'm just gonna "borrow" this game from kazaa and then delete in 2/3/4/10 months when I get my balls together to go buy it."

Or: "Ooops, I "borrowed" this game and now I'm bored of it, but even though I never actually got to buying it, it's still the same as borrowing it, so you can't just call me a h4x0r for that"

I'd rather just buy the games, downloading ties up your connection for too long.

download the dem, if thats good then buy the game. Cant afford the game? then dont play the game.

conversely i would never consider paying £300 for XP or any other OS. if it was £50 i would call that fair, seeing as there are so many bugs in windows.
