well, they also have a commercial for Spiderman that was taken off the air as a result of 9/11

in the trailer, these terrorists go into a building, put everyone at gunpoint, rob them blind, and escape in a chopper. spiderman catches them with a web, and ties the chopper in a spiderweb, between the two world trade center buildings.

go to kazaa or morpheus and search for Spiderman WTC or somethin if u want to see it.....

This was talked about right when the 9/11 thing happened. Spider man was delayed because they wanted to take out the scene with the WTC and replace it with something else - out of respect for the WTC attacks. Plus they thought that people would not go or be afraid since the terrorists attacks. Same thing happened with that Tim Allen plane movie and the Arnold Swartzenager one. All terrorists movies were delayed.

Actually, that bank robber scene was just a teaser trailer. Stan Lee and the producer said an interview that despite the Terrorist Attacks, no real footage that contains the WTC was cut from the actual movie. But it sucks that they cut the tv spot from the DVD too. Instead of keeping it on as a memory or symbol or SOMETHING

Why do people get so bent over this?

If I saw a terrorist movie some time after 9/11, then I'd be able to sit and say: "It's a terrorist movie, they didn't intend to make it just to piss some obnoxious people off and it's obivously not their fault that the release date coincides with an untimely terrorist act."

Puts on his asbestos suit.

I think that ppl just don't like being reminded of the events of Sept 11. I know I don't like being reminded and I live across the country from NY. That being said, I don't get all bent outta shape about it.

I just think that most ppl want to move on with their lives. I'll never forget that morning when I woke up and saw that. But for now anyway.....I just don't want to go and see something similar in a movie.

I'm sure after 9/11 and I saw the WTC in a movie...I'd friggin cry (when it was closer to the events). I think it was just removed (the trailer - scene) out of respect for the victims familys. People go to the movies to get "removed" from the troubles of their outside world. To go watch stuff get blown up, people turning into super heros etc - not to be reminded of the fact that thousands of people died un-neccesarily at the hands of a real and threatening mad man. I just want to sit down, eat my popcorn, hold my boyfriend and enjoy the movie. :)

I think it was respectful that they removed the trailer and didn't realease terrorists movies too close to the trama that unvailed itself 9/11.

i wanna see the trailer where the helicopter gets caught up between the towers, everyone said it was cool, but i never saw it, and now i'm pissed cuz i wanted to but then people had to get all anal about that ****, now they're trying to change everything that has any resemblance to the twin towers, like lotr the two towers, i heard they tried to change the name because of 9/11, that's gay ****, what the terrorists wanted was to break the states apart, and they succeeded, everyone was like "we still stand!" "they did not do what they wanted to accomplish" but in actuallity, they did. now everyone is sad as hell, pissed at everyone who has a dark skin color, and trying to change/get rid of everything that has any resemblence/correlation to the twin towers, people here suck, let the past be the past
