Elijah
wow... cool, is that in the movie or just a trailer?
PhantomHelix
well, they also have a commercial for Spiderman that was taken off the air as a result of 9/11 in the trailer, these terrorists go into a building, put everyone at gunpoint, rob them blind, and escape in a chopper. spiderman catches them with a web, and ties the chopper in a spiderweb, between the two world trade center buildings. go to kazaa or morpheus and search for Spiderman WTC or somethin if u want to see it..... <Im Yo Pusha>
thats pretty cool, but weird
Breton
I don't see what's so special about it. I mean, ok the buildings they show aren't still there, but why should people talk about it. Do people talk about wether or not they should show Harry Potter 2 just because Richard Harris is no longer alive?
acdcfanbill
ya, i have the trailer on my computer simply because i like collecting stuff like that.. its kind of silly how they pulled it, but probably the right corse of action...
ckcsaber
Yeah. The media trys to makes everything seem bigger. The movie came out much later since editing out all the world trade center scenes.
Bob Gnarly
hmmmmm yes now how long ago did i see that off KaZaA...... anyways good job in finding that

Surfnshannon
This was talked about right when the 9/11 thing happened. Spider man was delayed because they wanted to take out the scene with the WTC and replace it with something else - out of respect for the WTC attacks. Plus they thought that people would not go or be afraid since the terrorists attacks. Same thing happened with that Tim Allen plane movie and the Arnold Swartzenager one. All terrorists movies were delayed.
Andy867
Actually, that bank robber scene was just a teaser trailer. Stan Lee and the producer said an interview that despite the Terrorist Attacks, no real footage that contains the WTC was cut from the actual movie. But it sucks that they cut the tv spot from the DVD too. Instead of keeping it on as a memory or symbol or SOMETHING
C'jais
Why do people get so bent over this? If I saw a terrorist movie some time after 9/11, then I'd be able to sit and say: "It's a terrorist movie, they didn't intend to make it just to piss some obnoxious people off and it's obivously not their fault that the release date coincides with an untimely terrorist act." Puts on his asbestos suit.

I'll never forget that morning when I woke up and saw that. But for now anyway.....I just don't want to go and see something similar in a movie. Surfnshannon
I'm sure after 9/11 and I saw the WTC in a movie...I'd friggin cry (when it was closer to the events). I think it was just removed (the trailer - scene) out of respect for the victims familys. People go to the movies to get "removed" from the troubles of their outside world. To go watch stuff get blown up, people turning into super heros etc - not to be reminded of the fact that thousands of people died un-neccesarily at the hands of a real and threatening mad man. I just want to sit down, eat my popcorn, hold my boyfriend and enjoy the movie. I think it was respectful that they removed the trailer and didn't realease terrorists movies too close to the trama that unvailed itself 9/11. Breton
The WTC event has been on TV for over a year, it has been medias greatest concern for a long time, people even sell books about it! So why is it so very special when the towers are accidentily shown on a Spiderman picture?
Andy867
Accidentally? They are supposed to be there. When something is supposed to be there, that is no accident.
Weapon X
i wanna see the trailer where the helicopter gets caught up between the towers, everyone said it was cool, but i never saw it, and now i'm pissed cuz i wanted to but then people had to get all anal about that ****, now they're trying to change everything that has any resemblance to the twin towers, like lotr the two towers, i heard they tried to change the name because of 9/11, that's gay ****, what the terrorists wanted was to break the states apart, and they succeeded, everyone was like "we still stand!" "they did not do what they wanted to accomplish" but in actuallity, they did. now everyone is sad as hell, pissed at everyone who has a dark skin color, and trying to change/get rid of everything that has any resemblence/correlation to the twin towers, people here suck, let the past be the past
Elijah
I dont get why they removed parts of the movie because it had the WTC's in it... that would have been cool to see them in a movie.
Darth Knight
did you know there were people that got pissed becasue of the name of the second lord of the rings movies....AHHH
Andy867
Yea, but its not like Peter Jackson is concerned. In actuality, I wouldn't be surprised if he sends a pic of his buttocks to anyone protesting the movie because of the name. (That's what I'd do.. Maybe even superimpose a lips tattoo on one cheek)
