mine was the snow of 1993. we had four to five feet of snow with drifts up to 30:eek: .

we live on a hilly road that and the hills are 30 feet tall (that's like 9 metres) and the snow was flat across it:eek:   :D . you could walk outside and tunnel you way to the next house. it was fun:D

There was a pretty bad snow storm with like 4 feet in Massachusetts about 6 years ago.

Pretty bad, my house didn't have power for 5 days

Do you mean the highest you've seen it, or the most that you get in one go, as in it all comes down in one storm?

If you mean the most in one go, about 4 and a half feet. This happened in a two day blizzard a couple of years ago.

If you mean for actual total amount, I remember there being about 7 or 8 feet, with drifts that I used to be able to walk up and stand on the roof of my house with.

The worst snow I remember where I am currently living was back in the early 80's. We had 10-12 foot high snow drifts. I remember walking to my brother's house along a road with walls of snow on either side of me. As far as I can recall, we had to tunnel our way out through the front door of our house.

The most snow I remember in recent years was about 1-2 feet deep, which came down in one go.

that's about what ours has been, since i've been able to remember anyway, one day in april we got 5-6 feet of snow and it was just hellacious, but 3 days later it was gone cuz it was just a fluke

Yeah, I'd say!

It occurs to me that the harsh winter of the early 80's might be attributable to the Mt. St. Helens eruption. It's well-known that large volcanic eruptions have an impact on the climate. I just watched Horizon yesterday, which reminded me about the really harsh winters in the late 1700s...when there had been a huge volcanic eruption somewhere. The winter basically lasted most of a year. Brrr.... *teeth chatters*
