I never really get scared by horror films or games unfortunately, I wish I did. The only games to make me slightly nervous are RTCW and Half Life. I havn't played AvP but from I hear, that might be the only one to get me scared, the Alien films were great and I can imagine how the game would get you crapping it.

Believe me Lexx, life in AvP is dirt cheap. You'll be kebab from a 1.7 second encounter with a sentry gun, and little, icky bits from staring an Alien straight in the face in less than a heartbeat.

The moody atmosphere is nearly liquifying your screen, and the sound effects and limited save games will have you on the edge of your screen.

Either you'll get scared to death, or smash your monitor and break your keyboard in sheer frustration :)

Word of advice: AvP2 is, IMO, the much better game - especially considering it's got great multiplayer. AvP1 however, I found more scary since the Aliens are way more deadly, and the lighting is like walking through a tomb at night with a match for illumination.

AvP1 and 2 (one word Facehuggers)

Dracula :something The main character is called Alexander Morris (same as me), my dad showed it to me when i was 8 and there was like 20 video clips of him dying if you did something wrong. Very Scary.

And the scariest part of a game, this isnt a joke it really is scary and im sure there are those who agree; Monkey Island 2: LeChucks revenge at the end of the game in the tunnels, WAY too scary.

When you say youve never been scared by a game/film before do you mean youve never been so like, I dont want to sleep with the lights off, or do you mean youve never jumped slightly. If it means youve never jumped slightly then watch American werewolf in London, I jumped at all the none scary bits like the phone ringing and stuff, its got very good special effects no computers used. try monkey island 2, Its really scary at the end

btw UsetheFORX Please correct your sig, its annoying. It should be

Luke: Use..the....for.......

Homer: The Force?

Luke: No...the forks, use the forks

The only one that scared me......

RTCW: The crypts. When I'm prepared, I'd can take them down easy. Unfortunately, in there, everything was a surprise! From the wall bursting, and to the end. I was wondering what made my health drop, and I stared at a zombie in the face. Everyone playing jumped up!

I'll go play this AvP2.........

Silent Hill for Playstation 1. Ever play that at 2 in the morning? Since the game is DARK TO BEGIN WITH and you have that stupid radar thing buzzing all the time and the animation is so bad that the things look even more deformed and gruesome then tehy were supposed to be in teh first place. [shudders]

AVP (I played it at my friends house last week during a sleepover at 2am) It scared the hell out of me. The game is so tense. I am thinking about buying the second AVP as I have heard good things about it from its multiplayer.:)

Pretty much every FPS or 3PS game I've played has sped up my heart rate. Mysteries of the Sith, the last few levels, were quite creepy. Those Vornskyrs, Sith Undead, and the fact Kyle was evil was pretty well done to be scary...

the original resident evil. i was in grade 5 or 6 i believe and playing it very very late at night. scared the crap out of me as i had no idea what to expect. also eternal darkness. weird crap in that game.

w00t for the AvP series!

Confession: I actually refused to play the Marine campaign in AvP1. I spent the first mission or so waiting, waiting, waiting to encounter an alien. None came. Creepy sounds, dark, could barely see anything. Nothing, but I knew it was out there. Got so nerved up and tense that when I finally did encounter an alien (which came outta nowhere!!!), I screamed, jerked my wrist on the mouse, got disoriented, and almost died. I quit out after that. Played the predator campaign. :D

Resident Evil 2 (Leon owns) and Doom series (every Doom scared the shiznit outta me, still does when I'm going against a Cyberdemon with only a damn single pump action shot gun, Cacodemons were hella wierd too!). I can't wait till Doom 3 comes out. *drools*

Don't laugh! It's really not that funny once you've experienced the same thing!

Playing AvP makes you want to turn on all the lights in your house, crawl up in a corner with a big blanket to cover you, and cry like a little baby. It's that scary. Not kidding.

AvP2 as marine isn't as scary, since you now actually stand a chance at surviving for more than 3 seconds without a smartgun and constant back-tracking.
