Do you think the newest Jurassic Park will be any good? I hear Speilberg is doing it (so, he did the 2nd one and I hate that movie!) so that might help. John Williams is doing the music to if that is true.

I personally think they are running outta ideas. How are they pulling this off? I also heard Chrichton is doing the story, so that might help to. (buuuut, the 2nd one was based off a book...)

I dunno. I'll see it anyways :D I liked the 3rd one better than the 2nd one. Post any news on this movie here to, b/c I don't know alot about it...

K, 1st and second were OK. The 1st was really good cause the author did the screenplay and all that. The 3rd one was STUPID! And the end, what kind of a stupid ending is the entire marines being commanded by Ellie Satler? I'm hoping they get the act together for #4 but I doubt it!:( Also the digital stuff was better in the first than the third, and the dinosaur models looked more real!

Oh, and lets not compare to the books... I don't want this to turn into one of those...

Well, I still liked 3 more than 2.

I love the 1st one. One of the greatest movies of all time. I hope all the rumors I posted are true. I don't want another Theme Park being opened either. Thats worse than Warlords and Dark Jedi in SW EU!!!! :o

Hey, you think this is a bad sequel! Rocky 6 is coming, release date unknown. JP4 is supposedly coming out in 2005, if it follows the previous sequel pattern.

*** Here, give a tune to this little song I wrote to kill time!

90 second rule sucks. 90 second rule blows. 90 second rule is bantha poodoo. I'm getting pissed, how bout you? :p

a JP4? hmm...... well I must say the first i enjoyed thoroughly :), the second was okay, and the third had good digital f/x, but they'll have to really try hard to get some more creative ideas, the third didn't have much of a plot or story :(

JP1 was great, IMO they should have stopped after that. The lure of more money was too great though.......the second and the third were mediocre at best. I hope this 4th one will be exciting and have a plot....but like has been said, I think they are running out of ideas.

Intresting rumor at dan's JP3 page, involving some of the plot, here's a tidbit (note, it is copy/pasted):

Spielberg is indeed looking to get Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum back on board as part of the "team of experts." I asked eveyone I could if they knew of Richard Attenborough's involvement, but nobody knew "at this stage." I got the impression that everyone is feeling JPIV will turn out to be something quite special, more an intelligent thriller in the vein of the original (which would REALLY be cool!)"

for the complete story, you can find it here

I'm in agreement. They should have stuck with Cricton's story a lot more closely. Then they wouldn't have the "stupidity" factor that they had in the movies. It was shameful and almost like they were trying to make the movie into a godzilla. I mean really...the dinosaurs coming on the mainland etc. It was supposed to be about a park...not a godzilla movie. I think they should leave the movie alone. They already ruined it with the last movies. The first was great. I loved the cast. The second one...there were a FEW scenes that were good..the rest SUCKED. And the third...same thing. Still they needed the OG actors back...not just one each movie... They need to quit making the movies. I loved JP the books and the first movie...but they made tore up the story line. Maybe they should make a prequel to JP, that might save it...

The graphics and storyline were best in JP original. Now they rely on shock and gore alone. Even the comedy element has been lost, despite Ian Malcom's attempts in the 2nd one.

The first one worked because the dinosaurs were indistinguishable from what was real.

Now they LOOK CG.

Think this series of films should be left as it is.
