Sivy Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 i found this great website that describes all the cut scenes from Ep II, including extended duels, the droid control ship assault http://www.geocities.com/mrghoul_01/index.html it also has this video of a cut bit of the anakin V dooku duel http://www.geocities.com/mrghoul_01/cutsaberfootage.mpg to view this copy and paste the address into windows media player or you could just do it from the website
dark jedi 8 Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 wow! that's a great website! thanks for the link Sivy!
Pnut_Man Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 Makes me more angered at the fact that Lucas didn't finish up and include those deleted scenes into the DVD. The complete and longer saber fight would have been very much appreciated
Sivy Posted March 21, 2003 Author Posted March 21, 2003 yeah i agree, jut a few more minutes duelling would have make a vast improvement. imo the only thing that let ep II down was the shortness of them.
leXX Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 Thnx for the heads up Sivy. It is indeed a shame he didn't leave them in. I would rather have seen those scenes instead of the droid factory scene.
BCanr2d2 Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 Lucas hasn't really taken to the DVD format as you would expect, he is always at the bleeding edge of computer generated graphics for his movies. You thought he could realise that the DVD is a different medium, as Peter Jackson did, and people are prepared to watch an extra 30-40 minutes to a movie, especially when it fleshes out the plot of the movie better.
DarthMuffin Posted March 22, 2003 Posted March 22, 2003 I don't really care about extra mins of lightsaber duel, all I wanted to see on the deleted scenes was dooku w/ 2 sabers
Jedi Apprentice Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 Thanks for the heads up Sivy! Where did they get the footage from though?
MrGhoul Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 Where did they get the footage from though? Hello there. Since that's my site, I believe I can answer that. The footage is from the DVD's blooper reel, I just rotoscoped the saber effects in there. I have a small bit more of some footage after that too, I'll add it once I get my redesign up and running hopefully. Thanks for the compliments, glad you guys like the site.

You're forgetting that Lucas likes to do Special Editions. So even though he hasn't shown us much with the DVDs he's released so far he'll really screw us and make us buy another copy when he releases the special editions with all the missing scenes added back in. Money grubbing ...
ras1310 Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I can download the movie (and am) but all I get from the site is a holding picture. What happened to it? RAS
Tesla Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Hey what's up why can't i go into the webpage all it says is will return after these messages and how do you acess the blooper reel on the DVD?
MrGhoul Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 The site's down for the moment while I upload the new version. It'll be back shortly. Tesla, to access the blooper reel, go to the options menu, and press 1, 1, 3, 8 on your dvd remote.
Tesla Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 ok hope you get it back up and thanks for the DVD info
SkiTzoGuy Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 I loved the extra scenes Too bad they were Deleted! that sucks.
CurryKing Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Can't get access to the site!!! Any other site got the videos on???
Tesla Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 It's back up now and i liked the extra footage very much 2 bad he cut out so much material
CurryKing Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 I don't mind being abused for a lack of intelligence here but i can get on the site and read the deleted scenes but when i paste the link into my Media player it says the file can't be found, am i some kind of idiot or is anyone else experiencing this problemo!?!?
MrGhoul Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 The movie is now in a zip file. http://www.geocities.com/mrghoul_01/ep2cutsaberfootage.zip
