Lucky, when AOL released their built in pop-up, they also released a download that would fix the bug in Windows Messenger that allows those IP direct pop-ups. Most of our logos were created in Illustrator, but when you open it up in Pagemaker, it appears dotty or pixilated. The only solution was to export the final product as an Adobe pdf file. When I did that on mine, my logo overlapped my watermark, and the only way I could get my point across, was to make the watermark smaller....yet another sacrifice I had to make for pagemaker. When this one was finished, a hand full of us, complained that this program subtracts from our creativity, which defeats the purpose of Art. Can't wait to see what MY grade is... AOL. AIM. Anything with AOL in it. AOL is not really a program, it's and ISP, Internet Service Provider, unless you are refering to free trial disc that has the interface intallation. AOL is the bastard sum of all ISPs. I used it because I had it free with my Gateway a few years back. It is fine for beginners, but it is too spam freindly, and used by way too many younguns. I enjoyed a few of the chat rooms, but not often. One I used to visit was Christian Singles, there were alot of nicer people there, I got to know many of the names. I had a few wierdos though that would not leave me alone, and I even got hacked once, so I removed all aol things from my hard drive, and have not used it since. Recently from Trillian, I went back into that same chat to see if any of the regulars were still there, and there were about 2 or 3 cybersex RPGS going on at once, and I got spammed so freaking bad, that im bots were still flying at me, long after I exited the room. I didn't see anybody I knew in there either. Now why in God's name can't a "Christian Singles" chat not be sensored from porn adds and spam bots? From now on, I treat AOL as if it were ebola. I do most of my "chatting" on Trillian now, via MSN Messanger. I do use Trillian, it has simplified my life in big big ways, I hope Cerulean studios makes a super dooper bug free version in the near future. And I don't get Spam IMs either cuz only certain people can IM me, and I haven't gotten and spam mail in a while. I think all the complaints by members made AOL do something about it. Yahoo Messanger has a kick ass emoticons and a cool picture drawing thing. I got bored one day in school, and I played tic tac toe and hangman with my girlfriend, it was funny. One of the most advanced multimedia authoring tools, and it only has ONE LEVEL OF UNDO?!?!?! Mental. Also Flash can get pretty weird...simple motion tween on a circle, and half the time it decides to tween the scaling as well....haven't used MX though, so maybe it's fixed. My list is: GOOD 3DS Max - incredibly stable for such a complex program. Photoshop - the most useful thing ever (i'm a multimedia student) ImageReady - see above Dreamweaver - the daddy GTK Radiant - A little buggy, but still ace. Opera - Quick, customisable, full e-mail integration=nice. iFinish Media 100 - movie editing niceness. Norton Utilities - just good Realdraw Pro - great for making buttons Autoplay Studio - does exactly what it says on the tin. BAD Macromedia Authorware - boxy dissolves anyone?
