I keep a spreadsheet with all my movie data in it. It proves useful to keep track of who borrowed what movie, What movies I have, The genres, Actors/actresses that starred in the film, ratings, format, etc...

So, sue me, I like to be organized! :D

What can I say, I'm a huge Movie buff! :D

Not to mention the fact that I have a 50" Widescreen High Definition Digital Television and a Six speaker Dolby Digital Home Theatre with powered subwoofer that needs to be used. No sense just letting that sit there collecting dust! ;)

You have to remember, Crazy Dog, that I have been building my collection over alot more years than you. I'm 25, and had to finish school, work alot of odds and ends jobs and have alot of luck to get where I am now. In time, you too will have a great movie collection, probably larger than my own.

It takes time more than money, although a little extra cash never hurt anyone. ;)

I only get DVDs for the quality of them or because I liked the movie so much I'd watch it endlessly, and so I only have movies that need to be played on a decent display and surround sound in order to be truly appreciated.

Hence, the following (In order of purchase, most recent to oldest)

X-Men 1.5

Minority Report

Star Wars: Episode II

Spider-Man

The Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring Extended Edition

Spaceballs (don't ask me how that one got in there.. >_>)

My future interests:

The Batman movie collection, although I'd probably never watch them :D

Daredevil

X-2

TTT

Smallville Season 1

Good grief...maybe you should have said top 10 FAVORITE DVDs Wolfman...cause there's no way I'm gonna attempt to read through most of those lists...man...you guys love to watch movies...Have you never heard of Cable? Or Satalite TV? They're good inventions. Lot's of channels with all sorts of movies on...and they even have 30 minute movies called "shows." It's good stuff...you should get it...it'd save you thousands on having to buy every movie in existance...

My/my family's collection(not complete list cause I'm too lazy...so I'll just hit the highlights for ya)

Star Wars: Phantom Menace

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

Minority Report

Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail

The Producers

LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (spec. ed.)

The Muppet Movie*

Muppet Caper*

* purely for nostalgic reasons...

Yeah, I am really impressed with all the movies some of you have. Maybe I should have put some limits on this thread. Oh well. I was thinking most of everyone would have like on average 10 to 20 movies on DVD, with the exceptional one or two people with an entire library. But instead, there are lots of people here with a good library.

Anyway, on with the thread....

And feel free to talk about your favorite DVD(s), how you got some of them, or just any interesting story that goes along with them....
