POST 1: ++++++++++++++++++++ I'd like to point out that I'm all for letting this one die a death now... but: Sueing the kids 'responsible' is just ridiculous. Can we be expected to belive that this 'video incident' was the first time anyone made fun of the kid? I doubt it somehow. I'd wager a pretty penny that the kid's had a lifetime of poking, teasing and name-calling. Okay, so the video was the 'straw that broke the camels back', but sueing the parents of the kids concerned is just taking the ****. Obviously Ghyslain wasn't able to to this, but most people would try to ride it off with facts like "Yeah it's me, so what? I'm now more famous than you'll ever be ;)". Bringing legal action into it just seems like attention seeking. Think about it logically: The last I heard, the online collection for Ghyslain had raised $3000. And yet he still can't cope with the situation, and still needs couselling. What purpose is sueing anyone going to serve? Throwing more money into the equation isn't going to help. (unless there's like a $10,000 cut-off point where things are suddenly better ) Legal action is going to drag this story out and add to Ghyslain's unhappiness. He'll not be remembered as "the kid who got embarrased on the internet", he's going to be "the kid who got embarrased on the internet and threw a hissy fit over it" An offer from Lucasfilm, should it occur, would seem patronising. An acceptence from Ghyslain would look like attention-seeking. I honestly wish him all the best, but dragging this out in court won't help anyone.
