Let's just hope this is still a Monkey Island game, when it releases... 👀 Joke aside, I would like to see it "answer" some questions (especially regarding the MI2 ending) and ask a lot of new questions - no matter if there are more games or not. I for one am now pretty relaxed with sequels to the point that a sequel can't ruin anything for me anymore. If it's good and an enrichment for the series, great! If not, the other games (or whatever) still remain to enjoy and discuss. 🙂 Whatever the ending in ReMI is... there's always a way to continue a story if you want to.

Maybe not back then. But looking at this thread this may be one of more important reasons in the future. Another proof that EMI clearly was ahead of its time. 🤯 (This is so great! 🍿😬)

Nice, I was right about the inventory icon. What a victory! 🥳😅 Looks all good as always. Interesting to see Murray on Monkey Island (if we don’t count the amusement park in CMI - which I kind of don’t…).

Never even thought about that, but, totally agree! The sword fighting is fun because of the puzzle mechanic but the lines… they are okaaay, but nothing compared to the rest of the game. I bet they would’ve really been amazing if they were written by one of the other three. I preferred those in CMI, but even there most of them felt a bit forced.

Exactly. It's not like any of us couldn't wait a little longer for the game. Sure, we want it as early as possible, but the world wouldn't end from that. And if the game sells better on a certain date - why not? It would be good for the developers and could be good for possible sequels or special editions. Apart from that, everything has gone more than well (so far): The announcement was a hell of a surprise and pretty late in the development, the trailers weren't really late and were full of material, there were/are the MI Monday videos, so far no delays or really bad news (apart from a few very personal wishes). I think we can be really happy!

I think it's time to ask the ultimate question: What is the secret of Monkey Island? How will you play ReMI - and why? I've already said in the other thread that I'm tending towards the Switch version - and I've made up my mind now. I just trust that the controller controls will be intuitive and as much fun! The reasons for me are also that I can easily play the game from the sofa on a large OLED TV with a sound system. However, maybe I'll get it on the Mac at a later date to play it again in its full P&C glory. So... I'm curious for the poll results and to hear your decision/reasons! (By the way, in the future we could share and discuss the differences between the two versions here, too. )

Perfect, September 19th is a Monday, and I‘m not working on mondays. 🥳 I just hope they’ll already release it at midnight. Does anybody know how that usually works on switch/steam? Not 100 % sure yet if it’s gonna be Switch or Mac for me. I think it’s gonna be the former, but I still kinda hope for a (quick) presentation of the console controls before I preorder…
