I don’t Love Star Wars. But I like it. As most good franchises, it’s a lot of fun but also has many flaws - and that’s totally fine. But it’s interesting (don’t know if it’s worth, but interesting) to think that much about the empire or the First Order. To me they’re just story vehicles…

I don't think that has to mean she's a villain. A Femme fatale can be more than that. But it definitely means she's trouble (something I kind of expect from Phoebe Waller-Bridge 😁). My guess: Mutt will be mentioned at best or not appear at all. LaBeouf has said enough negative things about Indy 4 and I don't think anyone will really miss him. His role was okay, but not breathtaking either (and I really can't stand the guy anymore...). As for Marion, I'd be happy if she appeared briefly at the beginning or end, as they are married. But I don't need her in a major role again (and it doesn't look like it so far). As for the rest, I have nothing against a reunion, but would really only be happy with Sallah - as long as it really makes sense for the story. I'm kind of sick of these cheap cameos, where someone waves into the camera again, just for the sake of it... I feel the same way about movie franchises (Star What?!). So I hope that they really got to make another great Indy adventure! And so far everything looks very positive to me. I'll miss Spielberg of course, but Mangold is definitely capable and the cast is great as well. So let's hope! 😊

Sure, it can. But that also depends a bit on how treat those expectations. I also had massive expectations because of the media buzz and the Oscar – and I wasn’t disappointed. But I expected a really great movie, nothing life changing… It probably is. Even if it lacks good old Harrison. The old ones are a fun movies, but sometimes pretty trashy, the prequels … well. “Force Awakens” was a nice remake that felt a bit like a marvel movie and “Rise”… well… no. 😅 EDIT: disclaimer: I only watched the SW movies when I was about 22, so no nostalgic feelings I guess…

Always under the premise that the future games have good stories to tell, of course. With TP2… i don’t know. As much as I loved the game, I have no idea how a good sequel could be like. To me it really felt like a one time story with a ‘final’ ending… 😅

I don't think we are ideological opponents. Maybe I'm just a bit more open to different possibilities? I just think there are many, different ways to create something good. And future MI sequels are just one possible direction. But sure, if Ron really feels like making more Monkey Island games (and they let him do it his way), I think that would be great - because I think something interesting would always come out of it. But I would also love him to do other adventure games with a completely new story (I loved Thimbleweed Park, btw) - because that would probably be exciting as well. Also, I never said that these future MI sequels had to come from Ron. That's just one possible way!

I wouldn’t. 😅 Unfortunately, my hopes are preeeeetty high. With Ron and Dave I have the two creatives of the trio I prefer (not that I think, Tim is irrelevant or sth like that, but I can just connect more to the other two), the artwork is amazing and I really love everything I’ve seen or heard so far. It's really rare that I’m so convinced by something beforehand (not that this means anything). For my personal enjoyment I really don’t care if it’s received or sold well - but I’d love it to do well for the team and for possible future sequels. To me it’s clear, that they put a lot of love in that game, so I hope it pays off.

I for myself knew lots of plot details from “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and was sooo disappointed. And I knew absolutely nothing of “Parasite” and was totally blown away. But that doesn’t prove anything, because objectively the one movie is better than the other. I think, if a movie (or anything else) is great, it is great - and no spoiler can change that. I can still rewatch “The Sixth Sense”, “Inception” or “Memento” again and again and they don’t lose anything good. Nevertheless, I still love/prefer to experience something for the first time without spoilers because this experience is just unique. Did this post help? I guess not. I just love good stories. 🤷‍♂️

I wanna take my time and avoid spoilers if possible. This game’s too important to me to ruin it that way. As for hints… as I once said: I’m not the biggest puzzle solver. Although I tried playing easy adventures without any hints the last month (e. g. Loom and Sam & Max Episode 1) and that worked extremely well. So I’ll try to do everything on my own. But if I’ll get stuck for much too long, I’ll take a look at the hint book as the story, the atmosphere and everything else are more important to me.

As long as it is not this cliché marriage talk again like in Escape or even Tales, I’m totally fine with it. But from the screenshots I somehow don’t get that vibe. We’ll see. Interesting that Gilbert names LeChuck’s crew as his favorite “character” in ReMI because the members now have (more) personality and you get to interact with them. I liked that in the clips we’ve seen so far and am really looking forward to that.

Hmm, I somehow couldn‘t even get rid of the lag connecting it with an hdmi cable (although that should normally work fine ?).

I always had quite a bit of lag when I connected my MacBook to my TV (for MI1) - or I had to mess around with the settings for so long that it just looked ugly. And for me, it's no fun at all even with the slightest lag. But that probably depends on the TV, as someone pointed out here. I keep my fingers crossed that it works fine for you.
