GUNNER
Edlib, you run SETI I see. We used to have a team at XWA. Chewies hairbrush was our leader. We used to have weekly races to see who could crunch the most. There was about 25 of us. Me and Ike and chewie and a guy from Italy named Tagt would usually do about 60 a week. I even went out and bought a spare PC to crack units. I quit cracking and switched my units over to a place called Anandtech.com I think I had 5000 or so units. GUNNER
Hey, your on the team..chewie dog. When did you join?
edlib
A while back. I can remember the days when you and Rogue 9 were still in the group. I think you both left the XWA group about the time I joined. It's seems I'm close to being overtaken by this Domenic fella. He's crunching twice as fast as I am. Oh well. I'm running it on my 2 PCs at home, and the 2 iMacs I use at work. The PCs are both pretty old at this point (a 3-year old P3, and a 4-year old P2)
GUNNER
On one of the older clients my P3 700 that I over clocked to 933mhz would do about 6 a day. I also had it on an old P166 that took right at 23 hours to work one so that's what brought down my average time. I wonder what my 2.7ghz could do one at..... I haven't done it for at least 3 years now.
edlib
I don't leave the PCs on 24/7 since I'm the one who has to pay the electric bills. The Macs usually remain on all the time though, since IT needs them live to do maintenance and backups. The majority of my processed units comes from them. The season still has a ways to go, and they could yet find a way to really screw it up somehow. I hope I'm wrong this time (but experience tells me otherwise...)
