It was a small piece on how Ian Mcdiarmid had to outrun Some star wars fans in Scotland, and in closing the story it said something like "He has appeared in the most Star Wars films and will appear in episode3 where he slays Samuel L Jackson's character Mace Windu" highlight to read ^^^ edited for spoliers! Jorg Walther Posted November 3, 2003 Share Posted November 3, 2003 that makes perfect sense to me....palpatine is the leader of the trade federation, who eventually becomes the emperor (duh, thats one thing that alot of people in real life dont believe me about, i dunno why). mace is like...the cool jedi-one everyone likes, like boba fett- its makes sense that the big bad guy kills the cool guy. episode I...remember? mr. maul!?!?!? yes....foreshadowing, remember that from english class?? HA HA HA very funny. palpatine is a stinky politician that depends on the Dark Force to kill his vocal enemies. if palpatine is as bad at the force as his politics, all mace has to do to kill palpatine is to fling a pebble at him, even without using the force! I think if he does fight - he will use the force to do so - not so much saber wielding. As a feeble old man, I doubt he could beat Mace at just a clean fight.
