Hmmm ... tough one ...

Probably the Miles Davis Quintet from the 60's.

Although the Ornette Coleman Quartet from 'The Shape of Jazz to Come' and the Miles Davis Quintet from the mid-50's, and Coltrane's early 60's quartet, and the Pat Metheny Group all are very special to me.

Oh wait, you guys are talking about pop music!

- Jeff Beck - I know this isn't a 'group', and it is instrumental, but I think that the combination rock / techno / jazz-fusion on his latest stuff (check out 'Who Else', 'You had it coming' and the recently released 'Jeff') might be accessible to some of you guys.

I would list them all, but it would take too long. I'm into a lot of music ;)

I'll go with one of the following as to my current fave:

Dave Matthews Band

Pearl Jam

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones

Then, on the more agressive side, I like bands from Metallica to Kyuss - I have a very wide ranging taste.

And to all those Metallica fans, I saw them in August, and they ****ing rocked more than any other band I've seen. It was the best 2 hours of my life by far. They played ALL the classics, only two songs off St Anger (which takes a while to get into) and only Fuel from Load/Reload. I'm seeing them again on December 20th at Earls Court. I can't wait :D
