I'm just at a loss as to why they're pressing felony charges against her. If they feel so strongly that something needs to be done, why not just send her to a clinic of some sort. Not as if her case is unique. God knows how many 15 year olds have lost their virginity. It's frustrating to know that real sickos are out there, pushing porn of 6 year olds and the such... dark jedi 8 Posted April 1, 2004 Share Posted April 1, 2004 shouldn't she be protected by an invasion of privacy law or something. not that what she did was right but i thought that in this "free" country we as citizens can express ourselves as long as it is not in a threatening manor. plus its not like she was forced to do it, she did it willingly so i dont see how the police (who somehow "found" the pics) can charge her w/ anything? For those of you wondering why she's arrested. There is a law that prevents any minors from being able to post nude pictures on the internet. Her taking the pics isnt really the issue, she shouldnt of put them up on the net. The cops, namely state/federal police have active divisions of experts and tracking programs that ferret this stuff out.... For all intents and purposes its something necessary to curb elements of the community that can potentially put younger children at danger.... yes, a moral question, but at the end of the day, the girl was in error to post them up, IMO..... mtfbwya Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She was only 15....that's the point of contention...... I think it was for the best. And yes Mike, that's an excellent point, what are her parents up to. Most parents have some idea what their kids do on the comp. I have a 15 yo stepduaghter and our 'family' comp is in an open area. Its really hard for anyone to do be looking at anything innapropriate...... I think its very important for parents to have some idea as to what their kids do on the net, without being bluntly obtrusive.
