but seriously, how many read the fellowship trilogy BOOKS before going to see the films?

I did, and was thusly dissapointed with a less than great transaction of the book......

 

good movie though, it just can't do the "king of all fantasy novels" in authentic book version in for the preferred media in my book

I did, i read it long before i even knew there was gonna be a movie...

And the movies were great, but had it's weaknesses *cough*livtylerorlandobloomtombombadilmouthofsauronbarrowdowns*cough*

 

And The Silmarillion is the king of all fantasy books... After i had finished it I started reading it from the beginning again... Just because of all the names and stuff ^_^

Oh I never expected Sephiroth to come out on top. Hell, I figured he'd be first one gone. I was more-or-less seeing if people were on a movie bandwagon or some other bandwagon.
