Kengo Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 http://mercenary.bravehost.com/crash.html Mercenary and myself decided a co-op JA SP production would be a good idea, and the project is really starting to take shape now (with most of the work so far being creditable to Mercenary). Jedi Academy student Anton Eckhart is despatched to investigate a crash site on Tatooine, a mission that *should* pose few problems... The level will feature frantic speeder chases amid Tatooine's arid, winding terrain; intense battles against Mercenaries, Tusken Raiders and oither forces; interaction with the indeigenous peoples of Tatooine. This will be the last SP project I'll be involved in for JA, and I'm very fortunate to be working on it with Mercenary - expect more updates soon!
Prime Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 This sounds really cool, Kengo. It is nice to come back from vacation and get a surprise like this.
Zappa_0 Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 So is this gonna be another scripted movie? And the map looks good!
Pahricida Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 sounds interesting. I'd just alter the main characters' name ... Anton Eckhart?!? *shrug*
Mercenary Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Some screenshots have been updated and you can see them here: http://mercenary.bravehost.com/crash.html
TK-8252 Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 A run in with an Imperial Sandtrooper desert patrol would be interesing.
ronbrothers Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 The screenshots are beautiful. Definately one to watch for.
RJW_ca Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I'd love to help you by adding new sounds or new skins to this please email me and let me know how I can help I'm working on new lukes you can probably use RJW_ca RJW_ca@hotmai.com
Mercenary Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 We're working on cutscenes and string related files right now. Luke Skywalker is mentioned in the text crawl but he doesn't make an appearance in the level. Thanks for the offer anyways.
lassev Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Keep going, fellows. It will be a fine level indeed. Don't ruin it with too many complicated puzzles
Mercenary Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 The project has been delayed a bit but things are still moving along, and the final product will be solid. All the cutscenes are sort of done; I just need the sound files from the voice actors. After that the project will go through beta testing and then released. I'd rather not give any more estimates of when it'll all be done but I'll post an update when the project reaches the beta testing stage.
Mercenary Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 The mod is now in beta testing. I've updated the screenshots and this should be the final versions. http://mercenary.bravehost.com/crash.html This project was originally supposed to be done by the beginning of July but due to enormous amounts of problems it was delayed until now. This "side project" took up way more time than I had planned and as a result I've cancelled my main sp project for JA because it would require more time than I'm willing to put into this game. This could be my last project for the Jedi Knight series but you never know.
Neverhoodian Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 *Bump* I checked Lucasfiles today, and thought all you other diehard SP fans would like to know that the level is now available for download. Now what are you waiting for? Download on the double! Get it!
Prime Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Wow, thanks for the heads up Neverhoodian. I had forgotten about this one. I'll definitely check it out as it looks kick ass.
Pontus90 Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 It was very fun and good made but very short also 8/10
Pahricida Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 loved it! Nice atmospheric cutscenes and voice acting. just a pity there were no interior areas where you two could have shown off some nice brushwork. But nevertheless a quality map!
