Will you get Doom III?

There is just *so* much hype surrounding this game, and the reviews look pretty good (both of them so far ), yet I hear lots of the typical 'I don't care' things in various forums, so I thought I'd check out a with a poll here.

 

I'm interested in my own feelings ... I voted for the 'yes but no rush' option, which is somewhat surprising given how many times I've played the original through the years. I guess it just hasn't lit my shorts on fire like some other games ...

I don't really care for Doom, but I do care about what they contribute time and time again. Like new engines and different perspectives on things. Maybe if the price comes down in the next year, and also I upgrade my computer for their engine.

 

I am just more into UT and the like

Umm my computer wouldn't be able to run Doom 3 anyways, and I don't really like D3's genre...

I think I'm in the same boat that you're in, TXA. I'll get it, but I really am in no big hurry to get it.

 

I'll probobly check out the demo when that comes out.

 

I have a feeling I'm going to soil myself when I play though.

If your computer won't run Doom 3 at minimum system requirements I'm not gonna see play you on Counter-Strike for Half-life 2 because you won't be able to run it.

HL2 doesn't require as much as you'd think.

Those were form a year ago and developers have said that those were aimed too low. Mainly on Processor Speed. A 1.2 ghz 256 mb of ram 64-128 mb video card should run it fine. Not many bells and whistles, but ya...just fine.

I have no real interest for Doom III. Hell, I've already got a list of games to buy after I get a new graphic card...

not into FPS for a few reasons, but perhaps the game engine may contribute to a JK sequel...which will be nice...

1. KOTOR2

2. FF 12

3. FF 7 AC

4. NWN sequel ?

5. Bloodrayne 2

1) I could play it on my grandparent's computer, it can fit all of the requirements except maybe the sound card.

 

2) I'm expecting to get a new computer, whether it's building a new one or buying one.

 

3) I'm waiting for Half-Life 2 to come out, but I'm not sure if I can buy it. Yes that doesn't make too much sense, but who cares? ...

I'll proably skip it cause I heard that the multiplayer is dumb, which is the only reason i buy pc games. I'll maybe rent the xbox version.
