manoman81 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 ...And it is awesome!!! But, I am having a problem. After a while, when the game is trying to load a new scene/area, it crashes. I just got a new motherboard and I just d/led the latest drivers for that and I'm going to update the sound card drivers. I'm just trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows how to fix it...
ET Warrior Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Have you downloaded the update patches for KOTOR? Because even if you do, it's still going to crash like that. KOTOR on PC was even buggier than KOTOR on the Xbox
Crazy_dog no.3 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 That happened to me too. I'm not sure, but I think I lowered my screen resolution from my Control Panel thingy. And then it loaded properly. Maybe. I don't remember becuase it was like 5 months ago, but try it.

KotOR has received 113 awards...35 of them are Game of the Year type awards...it has the most awards of any video game ever created, and the most Game of the Year awards of any video game.

manoman81 Posted August 12, 2004 Author Posted August 12, 2004 Thanks guys. I already had the updates for the game. The new driver for the MB is what I needed. I also changed my video card setting from Direct 3D to OpenGL and that seemed to help...Now, if I could get rid of some lag so I might be able to beat the game...

Mike Me neither... the only time it was slow was when I played it unpatched

Basically they're saying that I should revert to an older driver because my video card is causing the problems. Any thoughts on this?
