manoman81
...And I was wondering if anyone is using or should I really update to it? I know a guy that was beta testing it and he was not happy with it. Any thoughts?
ZBomber
I don't like it. It's way too confusing.
edlib
It looks a little different, the "buttons" are in better places, and organizing the library seems a little better. But other than that there's no real difference that I can see. Works fine for me so far. If you get SP2 you'll end up with it anyway, so if you are planning on SP2 you might as well wait. manoman81
I actually have the beta of SP2. There's not much to it except the firewall that comes with it. Thanks for the replies. WMP is not my main media player but I was just wondering if it was a most to upgrade it.
toms
only if you want Janus Copy Protection or the new microsoft music download site.
Crow_Nest
I think MP10 is much better, the bars and waves (when playing music) is much better and the full screen view really zooms in to full screen unlike MP 9 and the older versions. Mex
I just played a song in WMP10 and it sounds beautiful. *Hugs WMP*
Nerd_Annhilator
Winamp sounds better. You gotta mess with the equalizer though
Mex
Winamp? Bah. That sucks. I used it and sound only came out two speakers. It was horrible.
Nerd_Annhilator
You set it up wrong.
toms
WMP shouldn't affect the sound quality. Its a crummy media player, but not a bad media library. Since i don't need a media library i use media player classic, which is a much better media player. Unfortunately it won't be long until some other software i use will probably require a WMP upgrade, even if i don't use WMP. sigh. And it is probably gonna be the only software you can use with MS PMCs and anything that supports janus (such as napster). BUt since i want to stay as far away from that as possible (and avoid installing as much bloatware as possible) i'm staying well away from it until i'm FORCED to upgrade it. Nairb Notneb
Microsoft is a scam. I've got SP2 but haven't installed it yet. I'm sort of afraid to ya know. Any time MS "fixes" something, something else needs a patch.

Nairb Notneb
I use winamp and Mediaplayer both and I prefer winamp actually. To me, the skins and stuff just get in the way. I need a player that plays sound well, anything else is a gimmick that will need a patch.
