I know it took KotorJay and Duncan awhile to get the animation done for there separate AT-AT's. Which I think Jay did his own animation, but Duncan got Keshire to do his, I dont know. He might have done it himself aswell, not 100% about it tho.

If I remember right, for the Seige_destroyer level that Raven released, there's some vehicle tuts that were either included in that zip or a separate zip but released along with that map (or maybe it was part of the Asteroids map release, not sure, don't remember). It's got some good stuff, Ducan's tut, plus Mike Gummelt wrote an article on it as well regarding proper heiarchy and surface naming, which most people seem to ignore, though I know you like to do things as right as you can.

 

Looks pretty good so far btw.

It's pretty straight forward, just like a player model.

 

-For the ATTE i scaled it roughly like the ATST. (there's a limit on height) but you can rescale it using carcass.

 

-I created the skeleton.

 

-Then i placed tags for weapons and driver (even if the rider doesnt show up with the ATST class vehicle)

 

-Finally weighted the whole thing together and exported it as usual (you need to add a keyframe the first time or else carcass wont compile)
