Hiroki
Yeah Kipper. It is to stop people who aren't injured at all from draining money from the government, and making hard working people pay so they can lay up on there lazy asses all day. It will not stop legitimately injured folks from using it.
Spider AL
Are you referring to this: http://www.newsday.com/...ybusiness-headlines Kipper? Ahhh part-privatisation. The mark of an eroding society, every time.
kipperthefrog
I read that article! I understand that people are going to be forced to gamble their retirement money into the stack market insted of social security! We might as well put it in the HORSE RACES! The whole point of social security is to have younger people pay for the old people to live! now we have to make today's youth play the stock market for retirement money! I never had experience with the stock market! thats social INSECURITY!

Hiroki
Though, perhaps at a tad bit less luxurious rate. And that I'm serious about. They need to live, but they don't need to be rich...
ET Warrior
Right....I'm not sure who's been telling you about the super rich old people living off of social security...but you should ask them to actually research social security. I believe the income from social security of somebody over 70 is a good deal less than 20,000 dollars a year, and it keeps dwindling.
Spider AL
Right....I'm not sure who's been telling you about the super rich old people living off of social security...Yeah, all those freeloading old fogies... If you're old, you don't need all that food and heating and stuff! PERKS! Leave the luxury to the youngsters! Thieving old geezers.

Bet you'd still vote for him though. Actually, I've been in favor of privatizing social security since before Bush was in office. Social Security is not what it once was. At this point, it serves only as a supplement. I'm not counting on it when I retire unless something is done to fix it.
