I don't know about other people, I tend on my own but recruit others/get recruited by others to work on specific mods. For example, I worked with bneezy and Darth333 on the stormtrooper mod, and I'm working with bneezy again on the clonetrooper mod. I'm also working with Xavier2 on the new Jedi robes.

I guess you could say I'm a modding mercenary. :)

Why do I hear the A-Team theme music when I read this? ;)

I'm currently ChAiN-abolizing 'part 2of2' of svösh's skins (Juhani), but eager to be a modding-mercenary wannabe. I try to play nice with others... :hit4:

It's been tried, we set up something called Holowan MMP (Massive Modding Project) a while ago but due to modelling restrictions we didnt get far. Now we can make models i guess we'd have a better chance but, in my opinion, it would only relally be worth it if we could make new areas, which we cant.

Also, im not sure whether or not you were around with the Ancient Empire fiasco, we lost alot of good modders because certain people (mentioning no names) divided the community with no results, in fact i tihnk there off somewhere, still attempting to make their own little wonder game. But lets not bring that back up.

Also, ive personally dropped out of modding KOTOR, and i probably wouldnt join a team, if there is one until Sith Lords. I know im not gona bother with the modding ideas i curretly have until i have a new engine to play with.

anyway, thats me done.

D_D out!

Then I guess that would make tk102, Fred Tetra, and me the weapons dealers for the mercenary modders!

Yo, I got a great surplus model decompiler for ya. Great condition, only been used in 1 "modding skirmish". :)

I think you are confusing the Ancient Empires fiasco with Infinite Empire.

Infinite Empire was a small modding team working on a Rakatan-based mod. The team was unofficially disbanded when the main modder disappeared.

Ancient Empires was Mgnails' team and we all know how much harm they caused Holowan

Just trying to clear things up :p

When it comes to large groups of modders to make a single type of project, this has happend rarely. Most often it is small groups of 2 to 4 modders that will get together to make a mod or to assist in getting one mod to work. I find that this works well in most cases and has been the extent of modding groups at Holowan Labs.

New engine ? You mean new Game right :p The engine is the Same As KotOR, But hopfully Obsidian has been able to tweak it to get better performance from the engine.

bah, same differance :p

i actually had a feeling someone would spot that. Anyway, Holowan MMP was really promising as we had a great group of modders, but as i mentioned before we just didnt have the tools to make anything substantial. Shame, i'd still be making areas if i could actually make new ones :( not just replicate the same ones over.

( kinda off topic i know, but:

moderators - any idea if the Sith Lords modding forum will have a differant name to holowan laboriteries, i'd personally like to keep the name )

Holowan Will remain as the modding forum for TSL. Unless its determined that we need to separate them, But I would prefer to keep Holowan Labs since much of the knowledge we have learned will be applicable to TSL.
