Mike Windu Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I'll get straight to the point. This movie is f***ing funny. I cried while watching this movie. It's that good. The dialogue is a bit drawn out at times due to the longer than 14 minute running time, but the appearance and animation and the ludicrous faces more than makes up for it. I dare ya to go and not have the goofy goober theme song in your head by the end of the movie. Bottom Line 8/10 And no, IG, there are no Texas jokes in the movie Spongebob hating-trolls will be smited with swift ferocity... somehow >_>
IG-64 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I'm sure it's nice, but i'll go out into the public here and say Mike thinks Spongebob is better and funnier than Family Guy. *waits for Mike to be beaten to a pulp by an angry mob*
El Sitherino Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 the movie was good. But I vomited when avril lavigne started "singing". Mostly I only saw it because I moderately enjoy spongebob but I'm a obsessive fan of Scarlett Johansson.

What, you think trooper's gonna do something about this? Ugh, the Avril Lavigne. Bad call for a soundtrack, but the rest of it is nice. And yes, Scarlett Johansson was amusing. What was more amusing was Patrick's reactions to her. <--- uh... weird... >.>

Mike Windu Posted November 24, 2004 Author Posted November 24, 2004 "I can take you there." *cut to baywatch scene* "Who are you?" "I'm David Hasselhoff!"
ET Warrior Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I saw it. It. was. TERRIBLE. I laughed at TWO parts. I laughed when mr. crabs was on fire, and I laughed at David Hasslehoff. That was IT. I honestly despised that movie. And even though i'm not really a spongebob fan, my girlfriend is in LOVE with spongebob, she has spongebob slippers and spongebob all other manner of things. She also hated it. That movie sucked.
Mike Windu Posted November 24, 2004 Author Posted November 24, 2004 Ah well, can't please everyone. I died from laughing though. i've been reincarnated... shut up >_>
KBell Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I knew Nicolodean would somehow screw over Spongebob
Mike Windu Posted November 24, 2004 Author Posted November 24, 2004 Nickolodeon* And it was decent. I rank it as end of 2nd season/beginning of 3rd season Spongebob. 3rd season was quirky, more dialogue and randomness and less clever jokes than the first 2 seasons, but good nonetheless.

Darth Eggplant Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 2 words (four really) Invader Zim *hmmm that was more than 2 words.*
BongoBob Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 IT'S EGGY! *dances like a happy monkey* *hands Eggy a large Classic Poop and two tacos* WB
legameboy Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Eggy is back in action! I'll probably won't go see the Spongebob Squarepants Movie.
Mike Windu Posted November 25, 2004 Author Posted November 25, 2004 I rank Invader Zim and Spongebob equally. >_> <_< If only there were a Zim movie... WELCOME HOME EGGY!
txa1265 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I took my kids yesterday after they got out of half-day school (they each had mini shows - 1st and 2nd grade) and I took a half day, and my wife was happy to have the house to herself for a while. I don't mind SpongeBob on TV, and occasionally really laugh it up. However, this movie I would put squarely in the mediocre category - the boys loved it, which is what mattered, but I found it tolerable, with a few laughs, and I checked my watch quite a bit. As opposed to the Incredible, where I never checked the time. Mike
Kain Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Hmm Spongebob movie or...ramming my head through 3 inches of bullet proof glass(or trying until I die)... ...anyone got some bulletproof glass?
Evil Dark Jedi Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I havent seen this yet but I will also probably get it on DVD when it comes out....... Probably
Jdome83 Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Spongebob pwned. I laughed so hard. Then I went and saw National Treasure about 5 minutes after I got out from seeing Spongebob. Spongebob gets an 8. National Treasure gets a 10
Leper Messiah Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 i have to say the spongebob phenomenon has shot straight past me somewhat, i dont get whats so great about it, but i do know its responsible for girls in my halls of residence walking around shouting "You Doodle, Me Spongebob!"
