Aash Li Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Is anyone as big of a fangirl for Neil Gaiman as I am? hehe. He has a movie coming out called Mirror Mask, and it looks so awesome! And the girl, helena, is pretty cute too ^_^ http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/ Also, Serenity (the firefly show from Fox) starts in 4 days!
90SK Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 ^^^ Haven't heard about that one yet. Looks interesting, thanks for the link! Yeah, I'm looking forward to Serenity. The trailer was very enticing. And here have been a shortage of action flicks lately, it seems..
ET Warrior Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I got myself some shiny tickets to a midnight showing of Serenity I am SO excited it's somewhat beyond explanation.
Jeff Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Serenity looks pretty good. I'll have to check that out when it comes out.
stingerhs Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 i'm very much looking forward to "A History of Violence" with Viggo Mortensen as the lead. according to the reviews, that one could get a couple of Oscars. and sometime this week i'll be checking out "Corpse Bride" and i'll probably go see "Serenity" on Sunday. its definately shaping up to be a great week for movies.
90SK Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 ^^^ A History of Violence cought me off guard. I hadn't heard anything about it; it does look very good. I'm looking forward to seeing Viggo Mortensen in action there. Lord of War looked interesting. No "good", per say, but certainly an action-thriller. Nicholas Cage always stirs things up.
Aash Li Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 yes, I love viggo mortensen! I want to see that too, and of course Corpse Bride <3
Renegade Angel Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 That name and poster remind me of a band I like.... I wonder..... (If you cant figure out the band, you are really friggin stupid)
lukeskywalker1 Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Yeah, History of Violence appeared out of nowhere. Im sorta waiting for Spiderman 3 (man... I got a long wait!) and X3... oh and the soul cal movie... but crap theres no info on that. I still wish everyday for a MGS movie. No current movies interest me.
Hallucination Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Note to people gonna see Corpse Bride: great movie, some characters had me falling outta my seat, just saw it friday. Serenity sounds good, I'm gonna have to check it out.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 There's no place I can be since I heard of Serenity, you can't take reruns from me, you can't take reruns from me:D Any new scuttlebutt on Halo and Splintercell?
MdKnightR Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 All I can think about right now is GHOST RIDER! Can't wait until it comes out!
Achilles Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 I've had my eye on History of Violence for a while, but since they just now started advertising it, I can see why so many are shocked to hear about it. Can't wait to finally see it. Took my kids to see Corpse Bride on Saturday. Aside from a scene with some gratuitous Danny Elfman in the first third of the film, I really enjoyed it.
Renegade Angel Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 I'm waiting for the Halo movie. Its gonna be awsome!
Renegade Angel Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Ever heard of the game Halo or Halo 2? They're working on a movie for it.
90SK Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 No, I've never heard of halo. Could you go into more detail? [/sarcasm] I didn't know they're making a movie for it, though. That's going to be interesting. Thanks for the info.
Renegade Angel Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Yeap, Its on Bungie.net,They created Halo (DUH!)
stingerhs Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 hehe, rumor has it that the Halo movie could end up being Peter Jackson's next project. although you have to wonder about that given that Jackson has already expressed interest in filming the prequel to the LoTR, 'The Hobbit'. either way, i'm excited.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I just hope they keep Johnny spartan as the mysterious non-racial guy, maybe even not give credit to whoever plays him, because then that actor will always be in peoples minds as MC. Just as long as he doesn't take his suit off and breasts come out:D
montnoir Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I just hope they keep Johnny spartan as the mysterious non-racial guy, maybe even not give credit to whoever plays him and as a working actor one would want this... why? I've been looking forward to MirrorMask for a couple of years now, my expectations for it are... rather high. Other than that there is not much else worthwhile. Well... Lion, Witch and Wardrobe but that's mainly because Tilda Swinton plays the Witch! [btw Tilda S = woman of dreams] Another movie I've been looking forward to is Tsui Hark's latest fling - Seven Swords, starring among others Donnie Yen and another Donnie Yen action piece that looks like something extra - S.P.L it looks... fantastic! ...ok I'll throw in the Pirates of the Carribean sequels for good measure and because Johnny, Keira and Orlando make a good combo.
RC-1162 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 ^^^^ im with you about the pirates of the carribean sequels. what im excited about is the Transporter 2. i know its released but its awesome. and also the fourth movie of Harry Potter. hope its much better that the 3rd one. Prisoner of Azkaban mov was like
Astrotoy7 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 The only things on the movie agenda for me are Serenity, which I'll see next week. I'll be going in with about 3 sentences of knowledge and experience I have gleaned about Firefly, that ET shared with me Im also hoping 'The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe' isnt made into a pukefest by Disney *hugs Narnia books to protect them from Mickey Mouse* mtfbwya
Aash Li Posted September 29, 2005 Author Posted September 29, 2005 lols. Well, considering that Narnia is a childrens series, there probly isnt much damage the hacks at disney can do to it (I say probly because they have a pretty bad track record). Domino looks awesome, saw the trailer last night. Kiera Knightly is so hot. hehe. 1 more day till Serenity!!
